We should teach our patrolist communities on ways to farm on such arid terrain and on ways they can reforest the area with trees that don't need too much water.

The causes for such droughts ought to be known if effective communication is needed. My only concern is that the people who are meant to observe the patterns and discover sources are not capable of recognizing the immediate demands for assistance elsewhere in regards to other skilled labor.

This beautiful souls left alone with no Government help. Turkana are rich in terms of resources but not utilize to address and mitigate the problem. There was a huge underground water in the area that can last quite long.

The world can make every effort to get oil and other valuable minerals below the surface, but not water, which is a basic need of every human being which forms 71% of the earth -SAD!

Water is definitely one of - if not the most - important resources Africa needs.

Assuming the scientific industry have technologies undisclosed, why would they invent a car that needs batteries from earth minerals, cobalt lithium, when batteries last 5 years max? can you imagine how many batteries will be required in 2030? Knowing that new technologies exist why not disclose and share ? Perhaps because there will be no need by 2030 for that many cars? a change is coming !!

There needs to be respect unlike any other to put your native languages first on your native lands like all Europeans do on theirs'.
The actions will have a synergy to them in opposition to impending threats.

The local community members seating under the tree and the mama representing them are all thin and wasted, while these other people talking in this debate are overweight. Why are the minority overweight people speaking on behalf of the majority thin and wasting people? Let's fix that problem first before we talk about global warming and climate change.

Baba wearing pink answered that question (minority vs majority) very well and the lady from the radio. It is quite harsh to call them overweight and insulting. This comment isn't constructive. The person representing the local community doesn't even have solutions when given an opportunity to speak. This problem needs everyone to be involved after all it is other countries and continents that cause climate change. While the rest of us need to adapt and educate one another about it. We will do minor things like use solar power, use underground water, plant indigenous plants, and minimus on deforestation.

Reforestation and alternative energy mix, gas, kerosine, and solar should replace firewood. African governments is not doing anything to resolve deforestation too much talk.
