In March Yunnan, flowers are already in full bloom, and even some unnamed wild flowers are blooming very pleasingly. In addition to making them into flower cakes, I also made a few rose snacks! Do you want to try some?

I find her silent cooking so adorable. She does all the job without looking at the camera and speaking any stuff. She is sweet unlike other youtube cooks who speak nonstop while preparing food and cooking. Who agrees with me?
Yea, I don't like youtubers that talk too much. Sometimes you have to sit through 5 minutes of talking before they even get started. So annoying. I like Dianxi style, just go straight to harvesting the ingredients with relaxing music in the background then goes home to cook it with a calm demeanor and you get to see the final product serve to her happy family. Love it.
Pls check out Li Ziqi's channel too. They are both good at what they're doing.

@@pavithrar9471 Dawang is an alaskan malamute - bigger than siberian huskies as they were originally bred to do pull heavy freight. very active dogs and suitable for homes with big areas for them to run around! I'm sure he has no problem living in the country side with all the space haha.

I went to Yunnan in November last year and I had so many flower cakes! They were so yummy!
How does the rose taste?
Amalia Madina roses are usually made into rose jam to be put into cakes. It tastes sweet, slightly sour and has a strong rose scent.

Joke aside, her lifestyle plays a major role on it. She's eating fresh and balance diet. With all those walking she does, she seems to be pretty active. Then, her area is pretty clean and not polluted.

I had a meal 4 years ago in Yunnan which included 7 or 8 different flowers, pomegranate and zucchini flowers were the only two I can recognize~ that was pretty interesting

Don't be too ignorant. Not all human food can harm a dog. Cooked chicken is a human food but its also can be eaten by a dog. She knows how to take care of her dog more than some who only fed their dog kibbles.
Only when the food is suitable for it. Dogs shouldn't just eat everything we do, it's not good for them.

The meals you prepare are so unusual and tempting. Just watching you gather the ingredients and then prepare them is like watching an art piece be created.
Use wild plant and flowers for cooking and dessert is very particular yunnan cuisine. I am from Sichuan :hotspicy and similar to yunnan cooking but little different. I have been to yunnan, love their food. I love their ham moon cake, honey mooncake and fresh rose flowers cake. And rice noodle with fresh mushrooms and ingredients as well.
@@user-xt7vj5cn5e when I was in San Francisco's China town in the 70s, they had traditional cuisine and pastry for sale. That's the only place I've seen those type cakes. I wonder if that China town district has lost much of the traditional aspects as many of the new generations of Chinese immigrants haven't followed their heritage. There's hardly any Chinese restaurants anymore. Its mostly Thai now. Times change. I like Thai but miss the Chinese food I grew up on, even if it was an Americanized version.
@@robertpace901 most chinese immigrants overseas especially the old time, they are from Canton and fujian(hokkien people ). It is hard to see here in Melbourne even we are in mutilcultural city, more yunnan restaurants opened here. I just bought a pack of rose flowers cake last weekend. And we have a very good yunnan restaurant - - colourful yunnan, very delicious with mushrooms hotpot, cuisine and ricw noodles 😍😋. We are in lock down, miss it. Once we are free, we will have a lunch there with my friends again 😋

I used white roses , sugar , honey , plain flour and eggs. Right now they’re in the oven and I am waiting to see how they are:)

Dian （滇） is the abbreviation for “YunNan Province”, Xi (西） means “west”， Xiaoge (小哥) means "Little brother", so her online name "Dianxi Xiaoge" actually means "a kid from west YunNan"
