- When it snows I feed the birds on the ledge outside my kitchen window. I placed my Flip video camera on the ledge to see what I could capture. My cats enjoy watching and listening to the chirping. My 17 year old tabby was just mesmerized by this. Pawing at the screen and jumping when the birds flew off. Love it.
I played this video for my 2 elderly cats for years; out of all the bird videos on here they loved this one the most. One of them would even paw at the screen to tell me when she wanted to watch it, it was really endearing. Both of them passed away over the summer, and my current cat doesn't seem to be interested in watching birds on a screen as opposed to irl lol. But anyway, thanks for this video, it made a couple of cats really happy! :D

Ashe Cyr, I'm SO sorry you lost your kitties. So close together, too! I've lost some friends I've missed less than some kitties. My heart reaches out to you. (P.S. I had a cat who was SERIOUSLY into Star Trek: Next Generation!)
this was my childhood cats favorite video to watch. she passed away a few years ago, but today i showed i to my new kitten and she loves it just as much

My cat, Dexter LOVES this. Now everytime I pull out my lap top he gets excited and comes running to watch the birds. He bats at the screen with his paw. :)
My kittie can't get enough of this. He even tries to climb into the computer to "catch" them.
Dean T mine asks for it so frequently that if it wasn't so cute of her, it'd be irritating. I can't be on the computer without her bumping my shoulder with her forehead and maaaa-ing for me to open it. She observes, then pounces onto the keyboard, turning off the wi-fi. then, in disgust, she jumps down and stalks off. yes, every time.
Cynthia Bushnell Sounds like she has the procedure down pat. Isn't it great that kitties have such great memories?! I love it. Mine has hit the keyboard and got my laptop to do things so odd that I have to reboot and start from scratch. And how I agree with you, irritating as it is, it's just too cute to let it upset me.
And I almost forgot to say that one of my kitties favorite pass times and main goals in life is to catch the red dot.

My roommates cat and I were just laying in bed together on this rainy day intently watching this i felt like we bonded :)
On a more serious note cardinals and blue jays and gold finces were alway my favorites at my birdfeeders. Their colors are beautiful.

I showed this to my cat a few years ago and re-introduced it to her… I think she remembers watching this exact video. Because she just looked at it and then walked away 😂
My cat was most interested in the birds scittering about the snow in the bottom right hand corner. He likes it when they fly off too.
Trixie likes all the different bird videos on RUclips but can get bored of some. She'll happily watch this one over and over again :)

My cat's not much into TV unless it's Irish music, but she REALLY likes this video. I've tried eight other birdie videos for cats, but this is the only one that holds her attention. Personally I prefer a brighter one, but the cat wants what the cat wants!
My cat loved this! He kept pawing at the screen! So great for him in the winter when he can't go outside.
This was my cats favorite video. I used to play it for him all the time and he would watch the birds. He lost his eye sight in 2018, I would still play the video for him and he would listen. He passed away yesterday and I played the video quietly for him one last time. He was 17. Thank you for years of enjoyment.

I have had 4 cats that have loved this video. It was their favorite. I used to play it on the tv to lure them out of their hiding spots because they would come running every time! Now my son has 2 cats and they come running if they hear that it is on.

My 6 month old kitten Zoey was enthralled with this video. She waited patiently until the very last minute, waiting to pounce on one of the unsuspecting birds. She pounced and pawed at the screen and the look on her face as she looked back at me was absolutely priceless. Thanks for uploading.
That's a very smart bird!
Normally I can't hold mine for more than 20 seconds, but she sat in my arms for five whole minutes staring at the birds in utter fascination and wriggling her toes. She especially liked the red cardinals, I could tell by the way she stretched her neck.

I had to put two cats to sleep last year, and while me not being there until the end was never an option, I can understand how it would be too hard for some to be present. The compassion you show for your patients in their final moments, after the families have said their final goodbyes, is beyond priceless.
This has been my cat's favorite movie for many years.
Started to search for cat videos for myself to enjoy. Then RUclips suggested "cat videos for cats to watch." So I said, "What the heck?" This video was first and I grabbed my cat and sat him in front of the computer screen. He was very upset he couldn't get the birds. Then my other cat sat there mesmerized by the birds. She loved it! Saving this video for my 5 other cats! (Sure, I guess I am a Crazy Cat Lady with 7 cats...)

We put her in the computer room, and I decided to put something on for her. I choose this. She was content for the entire video, I had to restart it!

I wish I had filmed him, my boy sat for eight minutes of it intently watching and flicking his tail before he couldn't resist any longer and very carefully started touching the screen. A few gentle taps later he gave me a sour face and hopped off my lap as if to say "how dare you give me fake birds, mom" hahaha

This is both amazingly sweet and heartbreaking at the same time. I respect your commitment to giving them the most comfortable, warm, pleasant moments before their time. I've never been able to leave - i feel it my responsibility to be present - and appreciate our vet immensely for the compassion she shows in those events.

My cat is now addicted to this video. It's perfect - the sound is like they are in the room. When he tried to 'catch' one of the birds, because it's a touch screen he paused it, and then played it again by himself. Thankfully did not scratch the monitor :)

I play this video for my cat Snarf every night when she is on my lap after supper. She is a rather old cat and doesnt get out much anymore so really enjoys watching the birds, brings a sparkle to her eyes. Thanks for posting the video! Two paws up!

I loved this, as did my one year-old Cornish Rex! He sat on the desk mesmerized by all the activity and once in a while would put out a paw to touch one of the birds. He was especially interested in the little ones who were appearing down below to the right. I've tried getting him interested in these things before and no interest, but your video, he TRULY got into!!! Thank you so much for sharing this! I have never seen so many cardinals in one place. I have a window feeder by Peter's Feeders and my cat gets her exercise all winter long by jumping at the birds! So funny! I just love seeing the birds up close with the window feeder.

My cat just went birzirk over this. He didn't know what to think. He was circling around the laptop and looking behind it when the birds flew away. He was petting the screen and finally climbed onto the keyboard just to lay next to it. So cute. Thanks!

After I started showing Puddin these videos, she's started attacking every screen in sight. I was playing mario with my sister and she jumped up and started batting at the little pixelated people with her paw. It is very adorable and quite entertaining to watch.
One of my cats and I watched it and he loved it, kept putting his paws out to catch 1 of the birds. I was watching it myself and it's interesting to see how the sparrows will keep coming back even though the cardinals try to chase them out for less competition. It's also relaxing for Winter Bird watchers such as myself. Please make MORE of these videos! "Pt. 2" "Pt. 3". etc. We'll be watching! Nicely filmed!

Thank you for your video. My daughter's parakeet lost his friend to our foster cat about a week ago. In that terrible attack the surviving birdie had to have his wing amputated. He finally got his stitches out today but has been very sad. I showed him this video and he became alert again and was showing off for the birdies on the screen. Thank you so much for your contribution to the happiness of a sweet little creature of God.

I noticed that in all bird feed videos, all the birds get shook when the Blue Jay shows up.
