    Thanks for the review Jethro, it looks like a very practical sleeping combination with a small pack size.

      Glad you enjoyed it. The pad is the star for me. The inflation system is really good and it's always nice to find an option that is smaller and lighter than the one I currently have

    Hey Jethro, that was a very entertaining and enthusiastic review. I've never heard of this company, so always nice to the "new kid on the block" introducing more quality kit to the market.
    As you already mentioned, probably not much cop for colder temperatures; but the pack size and ease of use make it a great contender for summer time. How much do these bad boys retail for?
    Take care Jethro.

      I honestly can't remember. I got sent mine to test but o don't think they are super pricey. Check the website. Also check the videos of people trying to beat the inflation record times, it's pretty impressive 😉

      It's a more common problem than many people think! And there isn't even a society for sufferers to get together and discuss their shared problem.
      We do need to do more to highlight this sad truth!

    Thanks for the review. I’m wondering what is the “noise factor”. I’ve had experience with the Thermarest Neo and liked its size and weight but found it too loud. How about this one?

    • @JethroJessop
      @JethroJessop  3 года назад

      It definitely makes some noise - you can probably hear it throughout this video - but it didn't stand out as being any louder than my other pads.
      I might be overly tolerant though as I've been told by others that my Thermarest Camper is really loud though I didn't really notice

    Looks a very well designed product, like them both as standalones and as one system. Well explained and demonstrated also. You just need to work on your world record attempt to inflate now :-) PS. I think I've found you on Instagram, I'll be in touch before the Year is out on routes for Wales etc.

    That's bloody cool , but it's a bit steep at £80 i bought my Klymit mat for £37

    • @JethroJessop
      @JethroJessop  3 года назад

      £37 sounds like a bargain! I don't pretend to know anything about anything but I wouldn't say that £80 is so steep, there are many that cost less but many that cost more as well. It's all about having the choice.

      I told my friend Ursa from LayOn (who made this sleeping pad) the same thing, but she is very stubborn and doesn't want to reduce the quality. She explained to me, that to make the product cheaper, she would have to drastically reduce the quality of the materials and stitching technique.
      She would rather see people have one sleeping pad for the rest of their life (which they regularly use) than see them disappointed when their sleeping pad leaks.

    Interesting, however does it have insulation and the R value is low.
    I’m a cold sleeper and if it has no insulation, it’s a heavy mat and only really of use to me in a warm summer.
    I currently have a Thermarest neoair x-therm mat and was looking art the thicker nemo mats to work better as a side sleeper.
    For pillows I’ve tried many and now trying a Trekology aloft pillow 2.0 which even though cheaper is getting very good reviews and has an integrated strap to fit around the mat to stop it slipping.
    Enjoying your vlogs.

      I generally sleep hot and end up having to unzip everything in the middle of the night so I'd trust this most of the time.
      The pillow thing is interesting, I have always just used a stuff sack full of pants or whatever but it's always a bit of a sacrifice.
      I think the LayOn could actually solve this but I need to do a few more nights on it before I know for sure.
      I'll Check out the one you mention, always good to try new things :)

    Did you ever use this on a trip? It seems both very uncomfortable with the small weird headspace and very cold with the awful R value. I didn't get what it has going for it that other pads don't do much better. Is it really cheap perhaps?

    • @JethroJessop
      @JethroJessop  Год назад +1

      I have used it on trips and found it comfy.
      It's nice and thick, packs down small and is absolutely fine for mild weather.
      Plus it is super quick and easy to inflate.
      Not the choice for every person or every trip but a valid choice in many situations I'd say.
