Nice scooter. I have a 1993 FXR restored it about 8 years ago in my garage & also put a S&S 111. Put a Zippers ThunderJet in that super E & you will love it even more!
Nice looking bike - love the wheels.... S&S motors are better built than Harley ones, that's why they seem so expensive. Some builders buy an S&S motor and take it to peices just to check things and add their own preferred little touches and often end up with an engine that is a lot more powerful than S&S coservatively estimate the power at. They are production motors after all so if you want to spend a little more time and money then they can be made to really move you down the road !
New to your channel and I love FXRS I don't have one yet but my friend had one it's the best Harley I rode and I have 3 Harley's of my own looking forward to seeing more of this bike
Frankie is the best! Super E are probably one of the easiest carbs to set up and adjust. I have one on my 94 with a mildly built 80” and cold start I give it 2-3 pumps of throttle, open the enricher and it’ll fire right up. Very well could be the engine is still a little tight. Could try playing with the mixture or accelerator pump for the time being until that engine is broken in more.
You know, I just did exactly that this morning, and it fired right up, just like you said. 2 pumps, open enrichener, fire. It must just be that I’m not used to it. Need to get used to that enrichener. Now… what about firing warm?
@@magz7274 warm I usually give it a pump if anything and it’ll fire right up. That enricher will foul plugs quick. The best thing I bought was the extended thumb screw for the idle. I’ll start my bike with the enricher let it run for about 30 seconds with that on and then shut off enricher and then crank my idle up to about 1500 until the rear head is warm.
I think this is a very sharp bike. Really like the FXRs and that is a good size motor for it. IMO though on an FXR I like the more bare bones look without the fairing, etc. But other than that very nice. The Thunderheader is one of the best exhaust for sound and performance.
Man, what a beautiful bike! One of a kind for sure! I like the paint, the awesome new motor, the fairing, those floor boards... you made a modern FXR that tops the new bikes! Hey, will we see this in Sturgis 2022?
Thanks man! I rode this bike to Sturgis in 2019 with the stock Evo and before it had the fairing, so yeah, if my wife doesn’t want to go this year I’ll be riding this one again. If she’s coming with though, I’ll ride the Road Glide.
I put a 111 S & S in my 2013 Street Glide 3 years ago and have oil burning issues .I add 2 quarts between oil changes ! When I called S & S I got no support at all .
Very cool bike. I just picked up one with that motor, seems to perform well so far. I'm outside of Chicago sw, if close, maybe go for a ride and compare. Thanks
So could you tell us about fuel consumption between the 80 and 111. Annoying question but building something and want to tour on it eventually. Thanks for posting 👍😎
I never really considered the twin cam swap because I won this V111 in a raffle and didn’t have a spare Twin Cam lying around. I had a 117 twin cam in my Dyna Low Rider S, and I liked it a lot. I think the power is just different. The V111 felt like it had way better low end torque. The twin cam had better high rpm response. I prefer the V111 for my riding style but wouldn’t hesitate to do a twin cam swap if I had one available.
Ya totally pilot jet, I noticed with my super E that if turn the mixture screw just a little lean it takes a more turns to start, but when in the rich starts right up..try richen a little and see how it starts b4 doing a jet.
Hey! Absolutely beautiful bike!!! I have just acquired a 1993 FXR and would like to change out the forward controls for floor boards, yours look wonderful! Would you be able to tell be the brand, model, or source for them? Also your exhaust looks PERFECT! Brand? Model?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
The exhaust is a Thunderheader. The model you want for floorboards is different than mine. You want Thunderheader Model 1019. The floorboards, you have to find old OEM floorboards from an FXRP, and they are hard to find and very expensive. There are no reproductions.
I heard illinois.. you don’t happen to live in or near the Kane County area? An FXR with a V111 rare Mikuni‘s are good they’re just a little choppy fyi
The R in FXR stands for rubber. Twin Cams have T.C. a (rubber) and T.C. b (solid) motors. Not sure if Evos or M8's have different specific motors for rubber or solid mount. I don't think they do.
I've got the v111 in my 1990 softail... no complaints. People are surprised when an old softail can smoke there new bikes. Shes pretty quick. Love it
What amazing looking bike love the whole look such a clean bike stay safe out there and keep rippen
Damn that is one dope FXR. Very nice man.
Having my s&s carb rebuilt worked wonders for my '86 fxr. Just ordered an s&s 111 this week.

Absolutely amazing bike man. RESPECT! FXR for life
Thanks!
God damn, this bike is beautiful brother! I was hoping to hear this great engine with this shiney thunderheader!
I just uploaded a cold start video today! Check it out 👍
This bike inspired my new bike. 1987 fxr with an s&s 117 crate motor 🚀
New to your channel and I love FXRS I don't have one yet but my friend had one it's the best Harley I rode and I have 3 Harley's of my own looking forward to seeing more of this bike
Beautiful Machine...only bike I ever had with a super e did not take much to start it up. Should definitely look into jetting.
Cool bike. Love the Dyna platform. Comfy ride. ❤
Dyna ??? this is an FXR mate 10 years before Dynas.....
Nice job, s&s, fxr a perfect combination. Cheers 🍺 🍺 🍺 🍺 🍺 🇳🇿🏴🏴☠️
Thanks!
Beautiful. Great work done.

will be looking forward to the video once it's completely broke in...
Hopefully it gets there soon! Been working too much and not riding enough!
@@magz7274 work CAN get in the way of having a good time. you've done the hard part...the joy of it all will be along shortly.
Amazing hog!!!!! Just throw some sea foam in tank, once the full tank is empty, next fill up should run perfect!👍🇺🇸

Holy sheep shit!! She's a beaut!
Thanks!
She is sweet brother
I really want to hear that 111 with the Thunderheader it must sound amazing.
It does sound great. I’ll post a sound clip soon!

The mockingbirds sound pretty good too...

What part of il are you in? If you’re close I’d love to check out the bike. Thinking of getting an fxr myself
Let's hear it run the
Watch the video of it running if you’d like to hear it run.
beautiful
Was a TwinCan swap ever in consideration before going withe V111 ? If you've riden both motors how would you compare them?

I wonder could i put a ss 111 in a late model dyna frame.
Depending on the year u can just do a 100ci or 107-110 CI kit, super stock heads and pair with flywheel
Does your Thunderheader touch the top of your nose cone?
Running an s&s super G instead of the E. But only gett about 27-29 mpg
Ya totally pilot jet, I noticed with my super E that if turn the mixture screw just a little lean it takes a more turns to start, but when in the rich starts right up..try richen a little and see how it starts b4 doing a jet.
Start it up man what the hell man
Watch the other videos man what the hell man 😂
Nice bike dude! Where did you get your mini backrest? Looking for something similar...

8.5 minutes of you yappin and no start up? What da fuck?
You could just go to the start up video. 🤷🏻♂️

LaSalle/Peru area. Not too far from Kane County.
Get us some pov riding footage !
Do you still have old motor?
my 2004 dyna with jims 120 140 ftlbs 6 speed 142 mph
The 111 is it rubber mounted ?
All FXR installs are and the engine is a bolt-in swap though it's wise to have a splined shaft gearbox with later Denso starter.
The R in FXR stands for rubber.
Twin Cams have T.C. a (rubber) and T.C. b (solid) motors. Not sure if Evos or M8's have different specific motors for rubber or solid mount. I don't think they do.
where did you get your mini sissy bar
Need some pov footage
✊😎
What kind of gas mileage do you get?
Right around 35 mpg. 4.2 gallon tank and I get about 150 miles per tank.
I got a t111 ill be tossing in my superglide you can't beat s&s ultima is Chinesium
What wheels are those?
HD thunderstars
Hope that’s not a new s&s engine. Or rather I hope you git a good one if it’s a new one.
How about a start up
Yes sir! I just uploaded a startup video yesterday. Check it out! 👍
How much you want to sell it for?
I sold it for $25,000
Can't believe you sold it!
