Chris Eubank is one of my Boxing Heroes and it was brave of him doing this show as obviously he knew what to expect. I think Michael Watson deserves lots of credit for being on the show and showing such kindness and beauty to Chris Eubank!
As far as giving Watson brain damage is concerned- it could easily have gone the other way with Eubanks suffering brain damage. Two men punching each other for 12 rounds - they know very well the possible consequences, so should either side be injured, neither party should feel regret. Chris had a tough life. He really is fascinating.
Most boxers go in the ring for the challenge and to put on a show. They don't go in there looking to almost kill there opponent. That shows the true human side of Chris. He never wanted to truly maim or harm his opponents.
Purely from a sporting perspective both Eubank and Benn could never get the credit they deserved for their respective fights with Watson and McLellend. The sheer heart, courage and spirit they both showed against superior opponents who were literally trying to batter them both into submission was absolutely incredible. It is what it is, and it would of ofcourse be distasteful to "herald" these victories but I do feel some mention to the greatness both men showed in their most perilous moment should be made.
The pale blue dot is what aliens see when they come to this planet and Chris Eubank is all that is best about an alien arrival, he just makes wherever he arrives a better more interesting place by being different and entertaining.

The worst thing you can give someone is pity. Watson should be admired and commended for regaining the ability to speak and walk, for how far he pulled himself up from such a hopeless situation.
@@Saber23I agree with you but I know where he’s coming from. Doesn’t mean quite literally the worst, but pity isn’t always the healthiest treatment for people who’ve struggled.
@@Deleted11100 no it very much is, the stupid shit the West has made pity out to be and the negative connotations attached to it are completely and utterly wrong, like pretty much everything else the West has come up with

Eubank was one of those boxers never, ever prepared to take a dive for easy money. It was a shame so many people did not get he was acting with the showboating, it should have been obvious he was far, far too methodical and forward-thinking as a boxer to be arrogant and non-caring It did indeed seem the tragic injury to Watson forever removed Eubank's ability to finish off an opponent. Yet he still offered himself to the fight, knowing he was backing off at times. Incredibly brave.

I like Piers for the most part, but the fact he didn't shed a single tear when Chris did, or at least smirk when Chris said "I'm not a block head" is surely proof he has no emotion and must be an android.
He was never the same fighter after that Watson fight and it was clear that it impacted him. He’s a human being and that must be a horrendous thing to live with.
