I'm using telegram before but due to lack of friends on telegram....I switched to WhatsApp.. that's really sad for me because telegram is such a good app...

Marco Cruz If people don't want to install a simple app, like the many they install, to talk to you, then you're probably not important to them. This is a great app, install it and them them to. Those who do show they do care about talking to you. That's what I did to reduce the long useless list of contacts of whatsapp to a more realistic and practical of people I actually talk to.
If Whatsapp really introduces ads, I'll completely switch to Telegram. The only way to get people to use it as well is telling them "Either Telegram, or you won't reach me at all".

I've just switched to telegram and I can see they have a call feature now since this video was made. Also I'm happy it's quiet personally. I only want to keep in a touch with my closest friends who I'll be telling to switch soon too. Two major features you didn't mention that I love is one the black mode. Two no online status so you can stay discrete.

Viber is soooooo much better then all the others, you can do video calls and voice calls, you can leave voice messages, you can edit when you typed something wrong, you can call to regular phones to people who have not viber with low cost calls! I have felt that Whatsapp is tracking me and reading my messages after this incident: I was talking with my friends regarding an online t shit business and then soon I started seeing t-shirts sponsored ads almost every other day on my Instagram account. That made me switch to a better app, and I am believing telegram is better.
Yes telegram is the best.. No way it is way beyond whatsapp in features except video calls.. But still video chats and hq audio calls r there... I bring this to my close friends and am getting better privacy security and features and fluidity.. Thanks tg

The issue with any new messaging app is initially there will be few people found to use them. The user has to invite their friends to it somehow & slowly it wi catch up.

A function that would be awesome would be if you could create a group that was for listening only and no commenting by people. This is a good tool for sending out information to lots of people without them all commenting on the group. Perhaps only certain members would have the right to post messages.

Also a major thing that really pisses me off about Whatsapp is the fact that the whole interface is soooo slow...when I want to send a RUclips link, the thumbnail preview takes ages to load (if it loads at all), and even if it loads, it's just a small square in which you can't really see anything...Whatsapp's layout sometimes seems almost antiquated, because Facebook didn't see the need to keep it up-to-date in terms of design.

There's no perfect app for privacy (as far as I know you basically need an anonymous SIM card and dial via VoIP, while connected to a VPN if you want to make a phone call resembling actual privacy)... but in this regard I'm not sure it's different than Whatsapp. For instance, when I was using Whatsapp I recall deleting pics I was sent, then months later being able to scroll back through my message history and download the pics again. The data was out there, while not on the personal devices of those involved.
As a user of telegram i have to say something to you...after awhile its gonna be a part of your daily life and you may notice that you cant do anything without it .....but beside this telgram have few misisng futures ....one of them can be a categorie spread chats ...channels and groups cuz i dont you but my telgram page is so massed up ....and few more After all this telegram will be greater then facebook

I just told my mother to download it and she agreed, but as for my friends, they disagreed...:(. I will try until they change to it and I'll annoy them hard as f@ck. :) It seems much faster than messenger and WhatsApp. Better signal also, love it. Telegram is much better, I mean, it is literally easier, it works with nicknames instead of phone numbers, it works with cloud, so we don’t need to make backups, and there are more things that are better! We should really migrate to Telegram.

I really enjoyed your video, I also prefer telegram but there are a few downsides you missed. Could you add them in your next video? Before all of you get angry I would like to add I LOVE telegram and could on forever about the problems in WhatsApp. Nevertheless I would like to make people aware the benefits of WhatsApp and hopefully telegram would consider adding these features. 1. You can not mark a few chats at once and delete or mark them as unread I one go. WhatsApp is better there. 2. Telegram clatters you with chats, every user you have becomes automatically a chat. 3. You can only search for full words in telegram - huge disadvantage! 4. There is no picture draft and if you cancel (for example by accident or you don't have enough mobile data) the sending of a picture you just took it disappears forever. On WhatsApp on the other hand you would not lose your picture. 5. Sometimes it is extremely advantages to have a person's phone number, maybe they don't have good internet? Maybe they don't get notifications from telegram (there is a known bug for this on LG and another company) or perhaps they even deleted the app! Of course I am not saying it's a bad idea to be able to hide your number but I think the best solution is to allow every user to decide if they want to show or hide there number. Also from WhatsApp you can go directly from the chat to the contact on the phone. 6. The option to phone is not easily accessible it takes two clicks as opposed to one click on WhatsApp. And I personally noticed the connection is slightly better and more stable on WhatsApp. 7. You have to have a number for telegram can't just log in with a password. Messenger from Facebook is better in that aspect. 8. There are many apps that allow you to easily transcribe voice messages or record voice calls, send messages in delay (automatic happy birthday every year), autoreply with regular expressions and much more telegram isn't as popular and therefore does not have nearly as many extensions. 9. Last but not least it is not possible to see who read or recieved your message in a group, which is for me extremely beneficial.
Isn’t the fact that these apps store our data the main problem ( telegram is also as u said, a cloud based app ), therefore I feel telegram is no safer, if not more vulnerable to Data scandals. just sharing my opinion! 😊✌️
Prabhjot Singh I'd differ. If a service is fraud enough to illegaly share your info, why would they tell you they aren't storing your data on their servers in the first place ? If it says it is storing your data online, at least you know they're being honest whereas you can't be a 100% sure if they're not uplaoding your info on their clouds just because they said so.
Telegram has the open source code, so anyone can come and check the code for the loopholes. They even challenge hackers and developers to crack the code & take $200k home as a prize. FBI & many other federal organizations have tried to get a backdoor access to Telegram, but the code is so secure that even the creators don't know how to crack it. So in short, Telegram was built around privacy & security. And, this is what they're most proud of on their official website.
More number of features doesn't necessarily make a good messaging app. Simple, clean and flexibility of WhatsApp makes it the most used messaging service across the globe. Anyways very nice video and quality content. 👍

Persistence is key for that. I was able to convert all of my friends to Telegram, and once I did, they admitted it was better.
