- Thousands are expected to travel to Las Vegas in the coming weeks for F1 and the Super Bowl, but there is concern about what some of these guests could leave behind in their hotel rooms.
I use to work at the Tahiti times shares on flamingo. A lady requested a roll out bed and I told her that the roll out beds are infected with bed bugs… I ended getting fired for warning the lady about bed bugs.
You noticed how this news lady said that people bring these bugs in? No lady you are in a desert where it’s perfect for these creatures. Especially the full moon light it helps to incubate these creatures instead of one egg hatching in a nest you get 100’s if not thousands eggs hatching you can’t see the baby ones until it’s too late. I can’t believe people ignore how bad this is? Same reason I don’t visit ( when on a trip I sleep in my vehicle) last thing I want is bringing them home with me…….

It’s not the housekeepers fault. We inform management and then it’s out of our hands. Housekeepers do their jobs! It’s not our fault!

Usually hotel company policy is any questions are answered by company spokesman. Meaning don’t say anything . I would see mattresses in storage rooms to be taken out to garbage. Me thinking oh these must have been found with bed bugs. Asked a houseman and he said yeah most that housekeepers notice bed bugs and report them to get taken out but that they are told that there is no bed bugs
I'm pretty sure a lot of these people houses Have worse than bed bugs.
They fire people when you speak the truth these places have no gain if they do the right thing. Just like all the bodies in lake mead, all the crime robberies in the casinos, and all the bed bugs and fleas in that filthy city. Keep visiting pretty soon you will have ticks everywhere.
I figured since all the hotels in Las Vegas started charging Resort Fee's this should not happen.
The only way to kill these bugs is by shutting the hole place and covering the hole building, they will go out of business so they go by rooms which will never solve the problem. This is disgusting 🤢
@@anthonymartinez4307LOL you obviously don't know anything about the subject but go on. Bed bugs have nothing to do with cleanliness whatsoever. You can also treat an individual room or go as far as treating all the bordering rooms around it as well. Bed bugs do not discriminate or only target two-star and below.
Literally every hotel open to the public has this risk. What's important is that they are proactive in detection because bed bugs leave evidence before they actually have an infestation that looks like this report. The images in this report are meant to be shocking in order to get you to look. By the time the infestation gets so bad that full grown adult bugs are running around that means the problem has been ignored.
In the 1990s, my mom said "Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite." But it was a fictional bug, even to my parents, who didn't think 🪲 actually existed. Why is this happening all across the country?
My mom used to say the exact same thing... back in the 1970's! I too thought they were fictional.

I worked at a local Casino in my hometown in Michigan. I was a server and we were warned that bed bugs and fleas are a common problem in casinos.
I refuse to stay at The Palms because last year I was bitten by bed bugs 🤢 😡
I just returned from Vegas. I stayed at Excalibur. And then to Ceasars Palace. My rooms were comped. And clean. Except for Excalibur. I believe the last person in my room. Had a food fight. And left dried food on the carpet. I will take that over bedbugs. But. I will be more diligent looking for bed bug's 🛌 from now on.
When I went to Vegas last month I stayed at the Flamingo they rented me a room with p**** stains on the towel and I was like what is this smell this smell like p****

They never do I was staying in Flamingo, and I accidentally dropped my lighter behind the bed and I happen to take pictures. It was so dusty and unclean and you could see used condoms. We even found methamphetamine
You find bed bugs and you’re fired and trespassing these goof balls are completely insane. Who in their right mind stays in any of these nasty places. Imagine the kitchens filled with rats?

Use a luggage caddy (wipe it down and inspect it) if there are not enough in your room, ask for more.

It's not the housekeepers fault, it's traveler's from all over the world, they hitch on suitcases, then breed like crazy when they find comfort...
But if housekeepers change the bedsheets, wash, then dry them in hot dryer, bed bugs won't survive.
Back in 2004, when I lived in LV, I worked with a girl. She said she worked as housekeeper for an expensive hotel on The Strip.
She told me if the room was really dirty, she cleaned it. If the room looked ok, she only straightened up the bedspread and pillows without changing the bedding. So gross and lazy.
That's how bed bugs infestation started and it's actually lazy housekeepers' fault.

This isn’t a house keeper problem it’s the hole building the old buildings with sewer leaks and perfect hiding areas for these creatures.
Housekeepers have to clean 18 rooms in 7 hrs, maybe if the guest would not trash the rooms as if there was a college keg party thrown in the rooms they would be able to do a better job.
I rented an apartment that had a history of bed bugs. I rented it anyway to get out of an abusive situation. They were still there. I kept that place super clean. I never unpacked my stuff. I kept my dirty clothes in the tub. Shoes outside. Vacuumed and mopped daily. They did weekly heat treatments and on opposite weeks, chemical treatments. They kept coming back. Why? Because they would crawl over to the neighbors apartment during the treatments. Diatomaceous earth kills them

it's a lot of the maids that are being lazy that come from different countries and they don't know how to clean. . It's the hotel's job to make sure there's no infestation.. why wasn't the manager or the supervisor checking on it. Maybe the supervisors and managers should start doing their job...
This is very true. They let them operate with autonomy and they don’t really do a great job. Think about it when you stay at a hotel, you might go on a place to find hair all kinds of stuff they’re not really cleaning the rushing to make it look decent enough so hopefully you don’t notice hopefully you’re drunk enough not to see the bedbugs and used condoms with fecal matter on them. I vomited and then they sent us to a new room
