Thank you for this pattern. I'm fairly new at knitting and it turned out just fine. Had a few mistakes that I was able to correct right away. That was a learning experience as well. I knitted a black scarf for my husband and he loved it. Love your videos!
Just finished the scarf! It looks so good! I am an absolute beginner. So the edges are a bit rough and funky. But I really enjoyed making it! Thank you!
Thankyou so much for this!! It's my last year School with my bestfriend and I relly wanted to give him a hand made gift, as an appreciation for tolerating me for whole 9 years🤷😂
Hi. I tried this pattern and it came out to be so pretty. Thanks for the tutorial and especially thanks for putting it in description which was really helpful
Very easy pattern. Thanks for sharing it. By the way, if you used metal needles you would have a much easier time. Some yarns just don’t work that well with wooden needles.
If you repeat just row 1 you'd almost be working the broken garter stitch pattern, which I highly recommend as a beginner scarf pattern. It's a good guy pattern, too.
Also knitting for a homeless shelter. Loved how easy it is to understand your instructions. Always looking for patterns that will knit up quickly. Thanks so much. Happy knitting!
First off, I just wanted to say THANK YOU and tell you how helpful your videos have been!!! Secondly, can you transpose your videos and name it left handed version? I think it would get more views. It's so hard to find videos for lefties.
Try counting rows if you can (sometimes thick yarn can be confusing) but your first row should be odd 1,3,5,7,9 And the second rows should be even 2,4,6,8 Your last row should be even and the cast off row should be odd. Also it can help to have a piece of yarn stuck through the row you last counted so you don’t have to recount the whole garment! Hope that helps!
Thank you for all your tutorials. You are a very good teacher. Thank you Charlotte for this pattern. I learnt the Bamboo stitch from you and now I am using the Bamboo stitch pattern and knitting for the homeless people for the winter. I am from the UK. 😊❤🙋
I am not a fan of wooden needles, either, as they do not slide smoothly in my opinion. I prefer plastic over metal, too. Love this pattern. It gives nice interest to a plain colored scarf.
this is really nice, im making a scarf rn with this pattern!! but arent the patterns basically the same? its both p1, k3 then repeat, the only difference is that in the first round you add an extra k1 in the start. just looking for a friend loll
I’m new to knitting, so sorry if this is a stupid question. I want to know, does it matter if I use 10mm needle instead of 9mm? Also, I know other projects we have to make sure we got gauge. But does it matter for this pattern?
This is almost like a pattern I found, it's called: Mistake Rib, it has a one row repeat. It's a multiple of 4 plus 3 : * knit 2, p2, repeat from* to last 3 stitches, k2,p1. That row gets repeated until the scarf is done. After a few rows you can see the pattern is very close to yours.
I can see your having trouble with the wooden needles as well . The yarn doesn't glide as easy ,but I've found a little trick that's helps alot I take just take some wax paper from the kitchen and rub it really really good on the needles or if you want you can get needle wax. But it's cheaper to use to wax paper or Beeswax candles works to .
I am just a child and i like knitting so much bcz of the science topic we learnt but i don 't have all materials 😔😑😖but i still like it💜💖🎁🎉thx for the tutori🙏🙏😘🌹
Thanks for this pattern! I love the soft rib. It was easy enough to lose myself in the process and it made a beautiful scarf. Wish I could share a pic. Gave to my nephew:) Hope you're still killin' it with needles out there!
I knitted the scarf it's beautifull thank you for the video. Now I just wanna knit its hat. Can you please tell me what should I do? I'll appreciate it. Thanks.
You could make a wider swatch, finish it completely, then sew a string along the stitches on one side. Pull it taunt, and tie it off- It will have a lovely dome, but a little hole on the top. I usually cover that with a lil pom pom.
I made this scarf. It was pretty easy and quick. For some reason on one side of the scarf the stitches were very loose and it isnt pretty. do you have any idea what I did wrong?
Learning this for my grandmother who recently passed. She used to knit scarfs for me all the time.
Omg
I really appreciate how you showed us how to bind off at the end of the video.

I am a, "visual learner" (a.k.a.-I duplicate well!) YOU ARE MY SAVIOR! Thank you, for being kind enough to share your gift, with all of us!
How can I tell if I had just done row 1 or 2? Sometimes I lose track
did u work it out? i’m lost aswell😭😭
Try counting rows if you can (sometimes thick yarn can be confusing) but your first row should be odd 1,3,5,7,9
And the second rows should be even 2,4,6,8
Your last row should be even and the cast off row should be odd.

Hope that helps!

I'm learning how to knit myself a scarf, I hope I like it

Just learning to knit. You were recommended by Urban Yarn
How much yardage of the bulky yarn do u think for a regular length scarf?
I used finished a roughly 5 foot scarf and I used 3 balls of 90 yards each so 270 in total.
