Next gen also has carbon fiber pieces for the silver trim around the infotainment screen and underneath the air conditioner vents. I installed it for looks and also to keep glare from sun from blinding me.
I think the carbon fiber will be nice, but not having any real contrast among the finishes might also look a little overdone too. Let’s face it, you can’t go wrong either way! I’ve been thinking about this for my interior too. I have a 2023 hypersonic gray convertible at 3000 status. I didn’t get the carbon fiber package, but I’ll likely add some cf trim pieces to the interior later
any silver is out for me, i did the steering wheel, the only item not currently avaliable is the horn silver trim around the chevy logo. They even have a trim part for the starter button and i mean the ring around it.
Last week I put that same carbon fiber piece that fits around the heads up display controls. I think it looks really good. I've also ordered other carbon fiber parts for my interior as well. I have a 20/20 Elkhart lake blue with SkyCool Gray interior. I've also ordered from NextGen, a carbon fiber console lid, the piece that runs along the HVAC buttons on the passenger side in carbon fiber, the pieces that fit around the emergency door release should the battery fail, and the peace of the overhead console where the rear view mirror is attached. I'm thinking about ordering the carbon fiber piece that goes between the center speaker at the top of the phone charger and the rear window on my HTC. Instead of the carbon fiber piece that replaces or fits over the phone charging structure, I decided to order a waterfall that covers the whole thing, almost like the ones in the C7 and C6 convertible Corvettes. I should be receiving that this Thursday.
Personal taste is personal of course. I just never understood the fascination for carbon fiber. For me all the carbon fiber bits are just a waste of money. Cheers!
You are absolutely right. Honestly, the chrome bothers me a lot less than the cheap ugly plastic. It’s more just to have things match for adding the other carbon fiber.
Wow! That’s crazy. I did not know that. Thanks for sharing. Over here some greedy dealers will mark it up to around $130,000, but that has calmed down as of late.

Hyper sonic gray was my second choice for a color. You made a great choice.
You should do vlogs with the C8 sometime!

Sounds like a great build! It’s a shame we have to do a lot of aftermarket work to make the vehicle look complete, but it’s worth it in the end.
You prefer coupe or convertible?

@@rapidblueisthenewblack4463 even that is a bargain here... i could buy 7 of them cash, but not gonna pay that abuse
Lot of ppl are buying this car. I wish the c8 costs $150k+ and Z06 costs 200k+ so less ppl can buy it.
