    Very nice, I am looking at one myself. I really like the boxes you added over the fenders, did you say you built them yourself, or did you modify something for those?

    This is an amazing build and exactly what I have wanted for so long. Do you have a biuld thread somewhere detailing what you did, what you used, etc.?

    • @NateGainey
      @NateGainey  Год назад +1

      Not yet, I have some random videos of a few of the projects, and a few photos here and there. I may actually have a list of upgrades and parts I installed. Ideally I’ll have some time to post more on here and share what I have.

    Awesome! Working on my own trailer, I like how you did the solar panel pull out, that is a smart touch, what did you use for it?

    • @NateGainey
      @NateGainey  Год назад

      It’s on stainless steel heavy duty drawer sliders. Took a while to design.. I would likely do it differently if I did it again but I already had the 100w panel so I went with it.

    How do you vent your water heater when using it? I take it no hot water Pune faucet for your dishes? If you leave the back door open what do you do when it’s raining?

    • @NateGainey
      @NateGainey  Год назад

      I have a switch on the water heater so it does not cut on unless I turn it on. The back door needs to be open to vent. The sink faucet has hot water, as does the quick connect for the shower. I can even plug a hose in for hot water if I want to.
      I have a 270 awning not shown in this video that is usually deployed in case of rain, however, rain won’t hurt the water heater.

    hey bud, thanks for making this video! I found the same slide out draw organizer you have. Did you have to customize your own height for the upper drawer? Seems like I might need to relocate it down about 1 to 1.5” to clear the door frame. If you could provide the appox distance down from the lowest set of tapped holes and how you attached it (looks like pop rivet? Thanks from Texas !!🤝

    • @NateGainey
      @NateGainey  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hey there! Thanks for the question. I did indeed need to relocate my top drawer to get it to fit properly. I did use rivnuts on the back wall and on the sides for the new drawer height. I’ll check out your channel. I love seeing other builds and the creativity people have. Hey from South Carolina 🌴

    • @NateGainey
      @NateGainey  Год назад

      The drawer for the generator actually came with the trailer as part of the kit. I designed built everything else in there

    Hey there. So I just bought a smittybilt scout as well. I just got it put together. No mods as of yet. I was wondering if those boxes you have above the wheel wells, are those from Smittybilt too? Did you just order two more like the one that is on the tongue? And the 30 gallon water tank, can you link to that too? Did you build a custom box around the water tank? And man, yours looks great. Hoping to do similar. Oh, and the tire holder in the back, where did you get that?

    What material did you use to mount the rocker panel?

    • @NateGainey
      @NateGainey  5 месяцев назад

      Starboard… aka marine board I ordered it on Amazon.. pricy and heavy but it’s amazing for durability and easy to work with

  • @geographyinaction7814
    @geographyinaction7814 Год назад +1

    Nice! I wonder, how does it tow? I was thinking that the water tank should be closer to your axle point for weight distribution, I guess you have enough weight in the back?

    • @NateGainey
      @NateGainey  Год назад

      It tows very well actually, on and off road.
      Since this video I have added a rear bumper with a tire carrier that helps get more weight into the rear.

    • @NateGainey

      They hold up well, even when I wash it. They are covered and waterproof so the elements are not an issue really. It also sleeps in the garage so day to day wear is minimal

    Hello Nate, my name is Skipton, dude this trailer is awesome!!!!!! Has anyone ask you to help them build there trailer like yours, i like the set up , would you help??? Maybe you can charge a fee???

    • @NateGainey
      @NateGainey  10 месяцев назад

      Hey Skipton! Thank you 🙏 I really appreciate the feedback. I have done the build as a hobby that I am passionate about. I have had several people try to buy it or ask if I would design more and sell them but no one has asked for help on their build. I’m always happy to help but stay very busy with work so I’m not sure how that would work out but if it made sense I do love putting things together on the trailer for sure
