Fun fact: The term "Smurfing" originated in WC2. 2 very good players were having trouble finding matches because people would see their names and leave. So they made alternate accounts named "PapaSmurf" and "Smurfette" to play, so nobody would know who they were.
because ppl would see their names and leave? hahaha, that's actually SAD, though understandable. Wonder how they dealt with the ones who DID choose to take them on, well, we suspect, of course, hahaha. I....would probably not have been one of those people, no way, hahaha. I know I would be WAY too slow to keep up, even if I came up with good strategies, they would also probably prove too expensive strats. as well I would probably either turtle up on army OR rapid expand, but would not be able to supplement my expansions with defense quickly enough, possibly, again even with some of the strats employed. Big on harassment and early disruption, (which is even more important facing players like Mini, Flash, other super-aggressive AND subsequently lethal players that one HAS to slow down), causing problems for the enemy that they did not have before, which supplements the main effort to defeat. Amongst other tactics. Harassment damage, for one example, can ADD up if consistently applied. And sometimes RANDOMLY, forces the enemy to constantly have to move even more so around the map, fixing problems, wasting resources on stuff previously created and active. But just one such idea, lol.
mobile, quick to set up turrents makes sense, well, ones easily and quickly set up. But STILL, wish they were automatic, computerized turrents not having to be manned like that. Or at least have the humans INSIDE the turrent not attached like that, seated out in the open. You would THINK in Terran time in this era, whatever it is, eon, century, they would have the tech for AUTOMATIC turrents, networks of them, lol. shield gen, etc. i.e and etc.
That was weird, my only guess is it was targeting something that FP didn't click on. Or I wonder if it could be a bug specific to bunkers. It is a rare enough thing for firebats in bunkers to be attacking something in a dark swarm; and on top of that the lurker was burrowed. Would be interesting for someone to try and reproduce it
Firebats' attack in bunkers do not count as melee, hence cannot kill through dark swarm. Blizzards original coding causes units in bunkers to be read as ranged. Probably not intentional, but its too late to fix now.
quick question about your comment @28:10 what is your basis by stating that valkyrie are te4r8ble against lurker?? valkyries can't attack land units and lurkers also cant attack air units!?!!
@@sethiddings7293 lol EXACTLY. Mini is ALWAYS on the move, fast too, lol, his little probes. And his aggression and strat. He's a maaaaniac MAAAANIAC in Brood War. DO do do do DO and he attacks like no enemy ever has beFORE....DO do do do DO
@@sethiddings7293 and the moves Mini pulls, lol, it really is Disney World. Ahahahaha. Mini makes MADNESS, no question about that. Every match. He is indeed though a very, very good player, LOT's of pressure with Mini, comparable or beyond, say. JYJ. And certainly Jaedong, actually watching matches recently and consider Larva and even perhaps a less-skilled Killer possibly NOW any way more aggressive than the Dong. Larva's static defense in one match against I think it was Bisu was amazing. But I would NOT want to take on Mini, not at all. He is TOUGH, a giant indeed.

but yeah, hahaha, that is pretty sad! Thanks for sharing, was curious about the Smurf refs. in some of these.
Somewhere wherever he is, Artosis has a big smile on his face with a nod of approval to Jaedong
I had no idea firebats did not work inside the bunker against dark swarm. Still learning new things in Starcraft Broodwar!
forgot the (T) for Shinee
21:55 nice control out of the bunker and stim towards the lurkers then he sees the swarm pop and immediately pulls back
took me ten years of playing till I realized the turrets are guys sitting in a spinning missile launcher

wait, why did the firebat not work in the dark swarm?

Units in bunker have +1 range for attack so maybe the game thinks FBs are using range attack there
I like Shinee. High level game management and professional unit’s control. My hat off for Shinee.
This looked like Jaedong is toying with Shinee
Whoaaa!
The queen curse is being lifted slowly but surely! Can't say the same for BC cruse 😂
Valkyries? I'm your huckleberry.
There aren´t many Zerg units we didn´t see here. Great game.
How do you get started on the ladder for StarCraft brood war?
4:28 I thought it was "1 bourbon, 1 scotch, 1 beer"?
uh one barracks, one factory, and one starporrrrrrrrrrrt 🎶

i wish nukes were meta

4 queens at 9 o'clock xD
For the algorithm
and yes, I can confirm, Mini is indeed crazy. Mini is a maniacal MANIAC.
Miniacal?

@@sethiddings7293 or just BRILLIANT.
Nice
Damn that seemed easy for him..

yum
This game is heresy!
The only zerg I like lol
Jaedong touch at the end, there? good game, good match, moderate to typical average J win? hmmmm........Shinee is still a great player as well.
zoom out man next time plz
