I was at the front when I was 19 and then stood slightly further back at 32 years old and they still go hard as ever. Best performance and atmosphere I've had at a festival in a LONG TIME. God bless the band
I can’t help but think if Glasto was in Ireland and someone commented “Irish crowds are on a different level” no one would make any further comment other than agree. Sad times
@@harvey_t I worked as a guitar tech so spent a few years travelling to a few countries. I'd rate them in this order from my experience. Argentina (I'm told Brasil is great too but I never worked there), Scottish then English, Welsh and Irish are on par. The Latin countries generally tend to be very good too. The worst I experienced were continental Europe. Glastonbury is special because it tends to attract more of a music crowd as opposed to a lot of festivals were people are there to be there or get pissed up. I'm Irish for the record.
At 58 years old this justifies my everlasting belief that nothing beats live music. Wonderful song, brilliant band and the crowd just lapping it up. Just beautiful ❤
you can see the pride in liam’s face as the crowd sing a song that he has written back to him! it’s got to be one of the best feelings in the world!!! great great song and great band!
What?! I didn't know The Courteneers were that big! I loved listening to their album St. Jude throughout my teens and early twenties. Always thought they were an underrated indie band. What a wonderful surprise to see a massive crowd dancing and singing along to them!
46 year old man brought to tears was there with my Mrs and 24 year old daughter blubbering mess was the best I’ve seen live and I’ve been to more than 100 gigs
Villa fan coming back from losing to Fulham in the champions final. The whole coach was depressed. I got the driver to put a few tunes on. Started with this. The whole mood changed. Became a party bus. The whole coach singing along. 1 of my most favourite tunes. Great band
At the end of the day if you only have 1 true stroke of genius you've still done pretty well. It's like how jarvis cocker always says he doesn't care if Common People is the only thing Pulp end up being remembered for - after all 'it's a good song'.
If you go to a Courteeners gig with the hardcore fan base every song goes off and the atmosphere is unreal all the way through. This is by far their biggest song and at the big festivals people come just to hear it.
The energy in the crowd was electric. Top. Work.
Almost as good as the Kasabian crowd this year!

How can you not watch this and smile.
One of the best live songs of all time. Crowds love it.
One of the greatest Indie tracks ever. ❤❤❤ God bless the band ❤
What a great feeling for the band. Having such a huge crowd singing your song with such enthusiasm and passion.
Playing PES 2010 with my friends. The best time of my life.
English crowds and festivals are just different class 😍🏴
British & irish*

I'm Irish for the record.
I forgot to add Americans to the worst but maybe it depends what kind of band it is. Canadians aren't great either.

he’s actually having to sing this louder than the crowd!!! 😂

Amazing crowd reaction! Top band! Wish I was there.
Underrated!

Best set so far!
This is great from Maputo Mozambique
Epic stuff, I think they needed some sort of recognition for that song at least
What else did they perform? Any other links to their set?
On iplayer mate
God bless the band🕺x
I love how the first flag you can make out is the Chicago flag, and I hate that I'm from Chicago and was at Glasto and missed this...
fucking class
Proud to be a Manc, our music heritage is up there 🤩
2024 TICKET HOLDERS ASSEMBLE! See you in the fields soon x
Brilliant
That smile at 3:14 😆
it's always this ONE song of theirs that the Glasto coverage has - is that an indication of the quality of the rest of their output may I ask?
At the end of the day if you only have 1 true stroke of genius you've still done pretty well. It's like how jarvis cocker always says he doesn't care if Common People is the only thing Pulp end up being remembered for - after all 'it's a good song'.
