- This week I set out to strip all of the paint off of my bike. I had to idea to have a raw aluminum mountain bike for awhile now, but I just never got around to it. It ended up taking me ~20 hours to get the frame taken apart, stripped, and put back together again, but I think it was totally worth it. Enjoy my raw mountain bike build.

Awesome, looks great.
nice job sick tricks at the end!
Probably best video out🤷♂️
yeah! 🤘
So on that frame where paint chipped did you need to touch up with a clear coat of some sort to protect the frame or did you leave it?
I'm doing this now and good GOD I wish the paint stripper would work like that on my bike ha
Did you happen to finish the frame with any clear coats or wax or anything? If not how is it holding up? I want to achieve a similar non mirror polished raw look on my aluminum frame too. Looking for tips and advice. Thanks.
I actually did not hit the frame with anything after. After about a month or so from polishing it with steel wool the frame starts to oxidize again, which makes it just look a little white and chalky, but does not damage the frame at all. It gets pretty dull but I personally like the dull look.
what size bike do you ride?
Shout out to me for finding the throlt
pls tell me what paint stripper you used
We used rust-oleum aircraft remover, which is what worked best for us 👍
