You can use an air compressor gun to remove grips, by sliding the air gun nozzle underneath the gap between the bars and grips, and blowing air in between them. This even works for grips which have been hair-sprayed on :)

To a buyer who doesn't know better, they'd think they were getting something of a lot higher quality than the bike actually is - like putting Nukeproof and Fox stickers all over a supermarket bike to fool others it's worth more.

Overall I enjoyed this video because something that was trash was saved and restored, however the repair is very incomplete. The bottom bracket should have been removed and the fork should have been disassembled, cleaned and lubed again. Both these items will result in poor performance of the bike if not working well.
Interesting to watch someone go through all that trouble and not upgrade any of the crappy components. The good ole craigslist rebuild. But honestly, all that time on a 20 dollar derailleur? why? Could have upgraded to a Deore for like 30 bucks and spent 0 time and effort.
