Thanks, I would agree, just seeing a bull moose in the fall is an epic event when on a BWCA trip.

You sir, are a moose magnet. Good work and thank you for putting in the time to produce this type of quality. Your efforts are a great display of what most folks will never experience and the world would be a better place if they did.

Amazing. Thank you for sharing. Magnificent adult bull moose. I’m living vicariously through videos like yours. The drone footage really is amazing too. It really puts the area in perspective 👍. I can only imagine how beautiful it is during the winter months and snow. Just beautiful.

Been through that area many times. Fantastic video. I must say I never had 2 weeks of perfect weather like you had. Good for you.

Thank you very. The weather was actually pretty crappy but I only filmed when it was perfect.

I have watched a lot of nature films and this was not only visually stunning but has also changed my perspective on moose. Those males that were obviously in rut were so keenly aware of your presence though didn’t bullishly charge like I would have expected they might once they saw you. They seemed to study you for a while.

First of all thank you... I agree, I keep hearing about how dangerous bull moose are when they are in rut but that hasn't been my experience. I've encountered many on my canoe trips in the BWCA and while hiking on Isle Royale and none of them have shown the least bit of aggression towards me.

Another great video. You cover some miles. Had a hard time tracking you on a map, I have been out of Sawbill many times, but only to a few of the lakes you were in. Would love to see a map route on your days.

Thanks, I like to travel light and can cover a considerable amount of distance when I’m feeling the desire to. I’m trying to think of a cool way to show my route in the video and have even experimented with a few techniques but I haven’t hit on anything that I’m satisfied with yet.

You have some of my favorite videos to watch and learn about the BWCA! At 62 years old I made my first canoe trip last year from entry America's Point looping around Thunder Point on Knife Lake. Now I wish I would of been exploring the BWCA years ago as it's a wonderful place. What is your go to reference (maps, gps, phone maps) for navigating to find portage entries?? My biggest issue was locating the portage entry points or losing orientation with landmarks & islands. Look forward to more videos!

Thank you very much and I'm glad you like my videos... I'm old school and still rely on maps. I have used both the Fisher and McKenzie but mostly stick to using the Fisher Maps. Sometimes I have problems finding the portages right away and navigating through a maze of of islands can be a challenge even for the best of us. The BWCA is a special place and as they say better late than never. Keep on paddling.
