I love watching older planes land it looks so different then the way they land now
Beautiful and probably the most sturdy all around general purpose aircraft ever produced. The fact that they were developed in the mid 1930's and are still flying today is a testament to that fact.
A truly beautiful plane. One of my favorite. Someone at a local airport owns a blue/silver one. It always turns heads. :)
I love the DC-3 and the sound of those ROUND engines!'
I flew on DC-3 twice in 1973. I love it.
Longest serving aircraft in history
Flew on this one :))
Great day!!!
Oh I wished I have that one cause that is my favorite/dream aircraft.
Such a unique sound
One of my all time favorite planes...up there with the Boeing 314. Majestic aircraft, whether stationary or in flight.
Such a beautiful and iconic bird 🦢
I've been having a hard time landing this plane in FSX as I tend to touch down and lift back up into the air. So, I had a theory on how to do it better. I figured if I land with full or near full flaps and then retract them as soon as I touch down I'll be able to stay on the ground without bouncing back up since the lift isn't there. Looks like that's what they do here so maybe I'm onto something. Love watching this plane fly though. :D
laserfloyd I seem to recall that with FSX and taildraggers, you need to go very slow. If the stall horn doesn't sound when you flare, you're going too fast! It's been ages since I've played FSX though (it keeps crashing!), so I might be wrong...

I posted this comment a while ago and have already found out about the uiautomationcore.dll fix, but thanks anyway! :)
Yes, you got it right, retracting the flaps as soon as you touch down increases your stall speed and therefore reduces your chances of bouncing back up. If you do your final approach at 90 kts and start cutting power over the threshold and pull a little bit, you should reduce your touchdown speed to 80 or less, which leaves you without much energy to bounce.
Just don't hit the brakes, easyyyy!!
So ein Klassiker hat schon was!Tolle Aufnahmen!Daumen hoch!Gruss inselvideo!
Grandma worked on this. They're still remanufacturing these in 2024.
Basler Turbo Conversions' BT-67

Os. modelos. DC. 3. sao. muitos. bonitos
Glad to see that's the proper landing angle, I was trying to do landing flair shit in FSX and was getting frustrated I couldn't touch down with the back gear.
Lands 737 like that 737: What am i a joke to you im not a DC-3 737: Breaks landing gears on purpose
The DC-9 is the pinnacle of human technological achievement.
