  • Learn how to make a loop yarn baby blanket. This is a follow-up to my original loop yarn blanket video, which can be found here: • How to Make a Loop Yar... . This video shows you how to use loop yarn to make a baby blanket. I show exactly how to make the borders and a different method to transition from one skein of yarn to another.
    Width (in inches) x 1.3 = amount of loops to start
    Four(4) 18.2 yard skeins were used to make this 40x40 inch baby blanket.

    Very well explained, and shown!!....I can’t tell you the number of blankets I get excited to make, see the directions, buy the yarn....then when I get ready to begin, I realize there’s crucial information left out for beginning and ends of a row. You did such a great job showing beginning and ends, I am going to begin this blanket pattern right away!! I also appreciate you showing how to join a new ball! That was excellent information! You’ve made my day!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!...you’re a born teacher!

    Clear directions for a newby like me. I am making my second loop blanket (several mistakes in my first) for my first grandchild, and this one is absolutely beautiful! Thanks to Jessica for helping me make a beautiful blanket which I am proud to give and for him to use.

      This blanket is so cute. Do you have a pattern for the stitches for each row? And I love the border you put on it. Great video I have some loop yarn to use up and was considering making a baby blanket.

    Thank you for the step-by-step instructions. Made my first loop yarn baby blanket in 6 hrs. yesterday and another one today. I love working with the loop yarn it would have taken me at least 2 weeks working with a crochet needle.

    Very nice! What if you have to walk away or continue the project later? Do you run a string or something thru the top loops so not to have them come apart?

    Thank you, Renea. I love your work

      Oh yeah, that's a great idea! I think you should be able to do that. Just chain it together and then come back with the loops through the chain. Some math and experimenting would probably need to be done. Haha!

    I accidentally bought the alize small loop fine yarn instead of the large loop what is the best stitch to use to make a throw....the loops seem small for the twisted stitch I wanted to use.

    Lovely!! Would you consider creating some projects using a knitting loom? A baby set would be so great!! There are no baby bibs shown for loom knitting. Maybe even a layette to go with a baby blanket or stroller blanket etc. I do hope you will consider this request you are awesone and clear and if you can do loom knitting we all benefit from you showing some projects 🤞🤞🧶♥️

    I love your style of baby blanket so much that it inspired me to make a baby blanket for my best friend who just announced her pregnancy. I have a question though. Due to gender neutral colors because we don't know yet, the colors I'm using are mint and cream. I plan on alternating colors every three to five rows. Would the loop overlap work with two different colors or would you recommend your method in the first video?

    • @CutesyCrafts
      @CutesyCrafts  4 года назад

      Use the loop overlap method. That way the strings don't come loose everywhere.

    I loved how well you explained everything and demonstrated it as well. I have a couple skeins of loopy yarn but am going to save it for something else. What I want to know is do you do regular finger knitting with blanket yarn? Can you make the same boarder with regular blanket yarn? and is it still 50 stitches? Do you have any video's on using the regular blanket yarn? Thanks for sharing. When making the boarder you have 50 stitches the 2 stitches on each end are part of the 50? correct you don't add any more?

    • @CutesyCrafts
      @CutesyCrafts  3 месяца назад

      I wish I could answer, but I don't have much experience with other yarn. I've done a bit of simple crochet, but that's it.

      @@CutesyCrafts I decided to make a baby blanket out of baby yarn from Hobby Lobby. I casted on about 48 stitches, I did your pattern that you did on the loopy blanket and it seems to work out pretty well. I just wish on the loopy yarn you could have a different edge like you do for casting off. but I did try it with blanket yarn and it did okay.
