Tom, the gap fade with 1:1 RR. 65% strike rate. How are you executing this at market open with wide spreads? If market gaps 50 pips, then there is some breathing room for the spread, but from your data market is gaping 10 pips a lot, and spread is killing the margin on the trade What brokers have sub 1 pip spread just at market open? Cause I can’t find any, or am I being a c*unt
The first time I heard the story of the guy who did his ass in the Dax and cleaned up the Bund but still went back to the Dax I thought he was an idiot. Now I realize I have done the same thing. I did very well after deciding to purely focus on EUR/USD and even got funded and got a payout, but didn't get any great trades for a few weeks this summer and got a bit frustrated, immediately started trading Cable as well even though I knew the only time I'd ever made money consistently was with just the Euro, and did my ass almost every day for over a month. Funny thing is, the thing Tom said earlier about the summer months generally being poor is probably the reason why I couldn't make it work in the Euro! One bad month does not give you permission to change up your entire system!
Great content mate. keep up. Quick question, when (if yes) do you stop tracking patterns that are working? ie. You have a sample stat of 200-300 trades, as long as the play is working, is there any reason to keep tracking them forever? IF the pattern is not working then you can adjust and re-track them! cheers

How do you calculate MAE?
The MAE is the maximum loss the trade had before it was closed (I usually measure it in ticks).
There is also MFE. Can be useful too... for realistic expectations))

Where can I find a copy of the journal excel sheet? It sounds easy enough to set up but I just want to be sure I'm not missing anything important.
