I had watched some of this video yesterday. I enjoyed hearing Dante speak so much that today when procrastinating wanting to kill time with some great entertainment, I came back to this video (great way to learn, great relateable content).
Trader Dante should make a small series. Would not be surprised if Netflix would feature it.
Also, Trader Dante should look into judging new traders' trades like Gordon Ramsay judges people's cooking.

As a "trainee trader", every time I listen to Tom Dante I feel like giving up all intention I have of becoming a full time trader. Then I think, "just think of the buzz if I can make it!", say "f**k it" and hit the books/videos/charts/back-testing again...

i remember watching this video 2 years ago and it was really hard for me to say that video was about me i thought that i was different but then time and emotions made me to think that video was about me and thats the first thing to do to say that video is about you and to "stop moaning" and improve after years im here and now i know that im really far away from this video and major success is that my account isn't blown up more than a 1 year and I'm in big green slowly growing up also building track record for props or private investments everyone out there reading this comment remember that this video is about you and dante tells the truth but remember there is really high pressure after you will face reality

Ha, love the title of the video! Exactly what people should do though if they're struggling. Knuckle down and learn the trade. Effort is required but progress can be sped up by using solid price action strategies like the pipdaq setups or having a good mentor etc.

Thanks for the vid.. sometimes it takes strong language and actions to create change. I agree with most of what you have said. Twitter can be a curse in relation to real time trading especially seeing things like my account is up 100% this week.. obviously there will be the day when you end up losing all and refunding.. moving forward making changes and learning every day..appreciate your effort. Tom, great video, glad I found your material after listing to chat with traders. Point 2 @ 31 minutes - I agree with you about trade the levels but for myself I find I need 'some' type of candle set up so I have a decent stop in place. If I just step up at the level and enter then I have no clear stop - how can you define when you are wrong & get out?

Hey Dante, got a little tip for you to look at... Try checking out 3 or 4 tick renko with wicks at areas of interest. If you have questions or see what I think you will and want to chat please feel free to comment here and we can exchange. Your style is very very similar in as mine although the renko for me put me in a spot that I find shows something volume bars cannot.
Short- the balances that take place at areas of interest will help you become aggressive with size on the initial position.

This is genius! Laughed my bollocks off a couple of times. So true. Must admit, I’m a little guilty of some of these.
I heard a good explaination from Nate about scaling in that can go hand in hand with what your saying too...which is to "Act as if". Act as if you aren't in the trade at all, so if using that logic, those points would many times if retesting a S/R level, even if it was a previous entry point, unless there are some new indications that change bias, would now be back and be another entry point... not a exit point.
