I grew up with John in Chicago, watched him go from the midam to the CBOT gain room then over to the CME. He has always been a great guy and one of the best traders I have ever meet and I ran the largest S&P desk in the world on the CME floor. If you see Rambo tell him Danny Riley says hello.
"I never dwell on what I've done. Ever!" - Rambo Moulton He said any zen Buddhist here is gonna make a FORTUNE in trading. People laughed at it but I was dead serious. He is absolutely correct. This is one of the best day trading teachings of all time. Because it deals with the deeper matters of the trader's psyche, which matters more than any other aspect of it. Rambo hinted that these habits and thinking patterns and "settings" of the heart apply to all life. First. Before you ever make it to the screen. I will apply that as much as I can!
Couldn’t agree with you more. Focus on the here and now don’t dwell on the past and don’t dream into the future. What matters is what’s happening in front of you at that second. It’s insanely good advice but as a trader myself EXTREMELY difficult to put into motion 😂 🧘♂️
Yeah, it's crazy listening back to interviews you knew were valuable but you didn't quite have background knowledge to grasp, happens to me a lot... and it also gets easier to spot guys that might not know that much but talk a big game
Years ago I saw Bulls and Bears and after I'd be searching for information on this man once a month on average. What a nice surprise it was years later I saw he was scheduled for an event. I waited months for it to drop. Bulls and Bears was great because of him - the highs and lows of trading with a top trader. This guy's probably got so much more to tell... please have him back!!
losing money is the most important part of trading, finally someone adressing that properly, i keep praising this part almost every day in the chat .. it's easy to figure out based on peoples reactions if they will make it or not in this game. great stuff
Dang! This was so good! I've watched it twice. I saw him in the Bulls and Bears film (or whatever it was called) a couple of years ago. And so as soon as I saw this interview go up, I got a 12 pack of brew and partied!!! Long live Chat With Traders!
Legend! I love his no-bullshit honesty and detailed war stories. This is a great example of someone who breaks many trading "rules" but still became a success juggernaut, evidence that you have to experiment with everything and find what works for *you*. Phenomenal work as usual Aaron, really cool insights from this session. I'm glad I've studied Zen Buddhism longer than I've studied trading haha
This ladies and gentlemen is the "holy grail of trading". Never come across anyone who have hit it right at the core of what it's all about and what you need to embrace and become in order to truly make it in this arena!
came here to watch bulls and bears for the 10th time...found this interview...it is amazing that no one cared to interview this guy since the television series...what a missed opportunity. John's aged well in 20 years! good to know he still trades and survived the 08 financial crises.
Thank You Arron For Publishing this Live Interview... This is priceless, the information about the bond and price curve relation is Fabulous !!!!! Thanks "Rambo".
Thanks for the words of wisdom Rambo, what a fresh, honest and no bull session of massive value. Cheers Aaron for making it happen 🤙. An awesome start to my almost blank canvas!
Aaron. You did it again. This was a great interview. John actually telling us what thoughts he had and why he was trading the way he was trading, is awesome. Do not fight the machines...become one with it. Risk...go for it.
So amazing to see video on this channel. I listened to the audio of this several times. It's so great to see the faces behind the voices. Well done. Thanks for uploading.
Great interview. The doc, Bulls and Bears, still one of my fav videos to watch. Very inspiring. Great job Aaron. Love your podcast. Keep up the inspirational work.
Thank you Aaron and Rambo for an outstanding informative episode with Great topics (assuming risk vs Taking risk, learn how to lose, focus on the current trade not on the money)
Wow tons of value. "Rambo" is an Absolute Alpha. Interesting perspective on life in general. Excellent episode. Thanks again Aaron! I wish I was there! My cousins live in Brisbane as well! I'm here in the States though.
So refreshing. Today these interviews if any are saturated in cars and money. I like to know the history of this and the players in it so I sincerely enjoyed this. Cheers
Definitely one of my favorite interviews. This man words are ones every trader should ponder on regardless of where there at in there trading journey , will definitely be listing to again .Thanks for the great content . GOODLUCK and Godspeed!
Rambo nailed it with the bartender story, every male in big cities (NY,Chicago) faces the same problem when being asked what do you do, a.k.a. how much do you make.
Aaron, i just want to take the time to say thank you for this interview man! I remember John from the Bulls and Bear documentary and i would get completely baffled at the sheer size this guy would throw around those spread orders (He'd have days where he would trade like 13% of the entire market). His no bullshit approach of the market is absolute gold for any aspiring speculator. Thanks again.
That makes no sense... Floyd Mayweather and every other undefeated/low-loss percentage champion pro-athlete will strongly disagree. Kobe, MJ, Lewis Hamilton, Tom Brady, Venus & Serena, CR7, etc NEVER play to lose, and don't expect to. And, if they happened to lose (especially those on teams), it ALWAYS comes down to TRAINING & PREPARATION for the game.
It's what Mark Douglas has been saying and all other enlighten individuals. This guy is a genius, being in the present moment is the key, you can use this as a barometer to see how far you know yourself. "Know yourself and everything else shall be granted to you" Kriya Yoga, Zen ect....absolutely genius
That was a fantastic interview. Great insights into the psychology of trading. Rambo has a very unique way not only looking at trading but life in general.
"Its just a fucking trade" THIS one sentence with the conviction it is said, holds so much value. I am learning this recently, and using it to move on from bad trades quickly......This is just one trade, out of THOUSANDS of trades. Just as the old masters of the 1800's created multiple studies of one painting before finally creating the masterpieces that made them, I'm learning to look at small trades and losses as "studies", in preparation of the "masterpiece". Thanks Arron for all the work you put into CWT!
Been Trading for a few years now. Always wanted to do it. Saw “Million Dollar Traders” back in like 2010 and caught the Trading bug. However when I saw the “Bulls and Bears” documentary back in maybe 2013 or 2014 that made up mind for me and I started saving and taking courses. Best documentary I ever saw, cheers John.
really delighted in the fact that Rambo has a Wiki and I now have his chart. ya know to reckon the native's characteristics and to check to see if I just might have a similar setup.
I took a lot from this and tucked it away. Well done! I have to say though, I am a strict stop loss guy. I never do business without it. The market may ring my bell one day but there's no way that I am leaving the door open to the bell room.
Can someone help me understand the yield curve trades Rambo talks about from 48-53 and how to trade the spread? Invaluable info, but it came so fast I don’t know what instruments he’s trading. I’m a US-based trader. Thanks!
I grew up with John in Chicago, watched him go from the midam to the CBOT gain room then over to the CME. He has always been a great guy and one of the best traders I have ever meet and I ran the largest S&P desk in the world on the CME floor. If you see Rambo tell him Danny Riley says hello.
He is a tosser
@@annajones9701 tosser?

@@duanejackson6718 thanks
Hi Danny, why no new video on your channel? Last videos are like 10 years old.
John is not only a trader, but a wise man. Wish there were more interviews of him ❤
"Know who you are; know your game,; play within yourself"...this is Trading.
🙌

I remember listening to this in 2019 when I first entered markets. 4 years later I actually gather the value in his message
Yeah, it's crazy listening back to interviews you knew were valuable but you didn't quite have background knowledge to grasp, happens to me a lot... and it also gets easier to spot guys that might not know that much but talk a big game
The most realistic trader out there and mad respect to him as hes spitting facts and experience. Rewatch it time to time to get more inspiration.

This Interview is GOLD.

great stuff
How did I know I'd find you in this comment section Swing?!
One of the best interviews with one of the best traders I've seen. A lot to learn from him. Thank you for sharing it.
I've spent time with Rambo watching him trade. He is the real deal, a great, fun, generous and humble guy. Very fortunate to count him as a friend
Awesome. That's the best interview I've seen so far from this channel.
such an experience trader, heard of him from trading psychology & came to this episode, so much gem! I enjoyed this episode so much!
Dang! This was so good! I've watched it twice. I saw him in the Bulls and Bears film (or whatever it was called) a couple of years ago. And so as soon as I saw this interview go up, I got a 12 pack of brew and partied!!! Long live Chat With Traders!
I worked with John on the floor of SFE in the 90's
Great times buddy.

This was awesome. This guy is so smart. Thanks a lot for the interview
wowww.... Rambo makes me want to cry tears of joy. His words are so true and exactly what I needed to hear right now!

Still relevant information for this market!
Aaron. You did it again. This was a great interview. John actually telling us what thoughts he had and why he was trading the way he was trading, is awesome. Do not fight the machines...become one with it. Risk...go for it.
Pure gold! It's like Market Wizards but filmed.
How can anybody give it a thumbs down gonna watch it again
Perhaps it was a bit too much of a mirror to their trading?
So amazing to see video on this channel. I listened to the audio of this several times. It's so great to see the faces behind the voices. Well done. Thanks for uploading.
"I never thought I was the best...to me it was always the challenge of being the best" - amazing subtlety.
almost Lombardi-esque ...
Rambo seems like a no nonsense guy ....that means he is a teddy bear covering his soft heart . Go Rambo we love ya man 🧸🧸🧸🧸🧸
Wow what a great guy and a legend! Took so much out of this.
Great interview. The doc, Bulls and Bears, still one of my fav videos to watch. Very inspiring. Great job Aaron. Love your podcast. Keep up the inspirational work.

You can not love John, he's full of gems, I've taken so much from this.

Thank you Aaron and Rambo for an outstanding informative episode with Great topics (assuming risk vs Taking risk, learn how to lose, focus on the current trade not on the money)
Every interview I watch I take away something new. Thanks!
what was the takeaway for you?
Every time I make a losing trade I hear his voice telling me "Its just a fucking trade. I don't care." Lol Love this guy! Words to live by.
Best interview I've seen so far.
so blessed to have him here on our shores. Thx Aaron for digging him out and cheers Rambo for sharing. #thumbsup

Great interview, great counsel and content. I like the "start organically" and don't force things too fast but focus on the long-run/term.
Great show! One of the few financial podcasts that doesn’t just slather the listener with shit.
Thank you Rambo
Aaron you handle these interviews quite well. Much appreciate the content you have been bringing over the years.
An excellent interview. Thank you John, and especially you Aaron, for brining these to us!
Thank you once again Mr. Fifield for a wonderful look into the wisdom of a trader.

Gr8 Work. Thx a Ton for the Post.
Rambo nailed it with the bartender story, every male in big cities (NY,Chicago) faces the same problem when being asked what do you do, a.k.a. how much do you make.
Cant get enough of this guy, John needs his own TV show or at least another documentary like his did in the 90's.
Best so far. Real authentic jewels in this one.
Intriguing .. going to watch it again .. hope they can do another one .. great work Aaron.
Just Amazing. Great to hear more about the subconscious mind in trading, its much overlooked.
Hands down the best trader out there. Rambo is my hero!
Aaron, i just want to take the time to say thank you for this interview man! Good stuff here Arron! Dig the into to this one! Great speech too would have been killer to have been there in person!!
Great work Aaron, appreciate this
The art of losing is essential to the art of winning! This was awesome!

This guy got me into FUTURES after I watched him in a Doc.

THIS IS SO GOOD
Very straight forward and humble
That was a fantastic interview. Great insights into the psychology of trading. Rambo has a very unique way not only looking at trading but life in general.

Best CWT interview!
This was soooo fucking epic!!! Can't thank you enough Aaron. Cheers

I was at MIDAM back then and John is a great trader. Listen up.
One of the best. Thanks Aaron, I wish I had been there.
I love the "freedom of mind" concept he mentioned. That's is a real pursuit. Thanks Aaron & John for this :-)
Been Trading for a few years now. Always wanted to do it. Saw “Million Dollar Traders” back in like 2010 and caught the Trading bug.

Great one Aaron. I love this channel.
Here's a guy I would really like to share a beer with and just talk to. Outstanding content, enlightening and humble.
BEST TRADING INTERVIEW EVER
really delighted in the fact that Rambo has a Wiki and I now have his chart.
ya know to reckon the native's characteristics and to check to see if I just might have a similar setup.
Amazing, best one yet Aaron!
Great live interview. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
Never expected things to get so 'spiritual' here but I love it
He is a very unique trader!!!
I took a lot from this and tucked it away. Well done! I have to say though, I am a strict stop loss guy. I never do business without it. The market may ring my bell one day but there's no way that I am leaving the door open to the bell room.
You can see he has been through things in his face, the word veteran correctly applies to him
Freakin legend, thank you for getting John to do this
Can someone help me understand the yield curve trades Rambo talks about from 48-53 and how to trade the spread? Invaluable info, but it came so fast I don’t know what instruments he’s trading. I’m a US-based trader. Thanks!
Loved this guy! An amazing personality... definitely something to learn as a trader
Being only 24 years old, Rambo is a model on how trading provides a stress free life.
Great interview! Thanks John for your insights.
