I apologize to all the guest readers for the many people being rude every. single. time someone reads who isn’t Thomas. It’s really strange and sad to see people get so worked up about it. All you readers do a wonderful, fantastic job and have such delightful voices. Heather, thank you for lending your voice to this lovely story. Thank you for what you do.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but what annoys me when they switch readers is this: I adjust the volume on my phone for the guided meditation. And then all of the sudden a new voice pops on, it’s louder, wakes me up, and ruins what the meditation just did. And I have to look at my phone again and readjust the volume. So in my opinion, there would be less “rude comments” if whoever was reading the story, would just read the meditation too. But that’s just me and my experience. And it’s certainly not merit for rude comments, so I do agree with you there.
It is annoying though.
Just as you're allowed your opinion, so are others. I don't think they mean it as criticism but as feedback so The Team knows how to cater to the majority...
Your criticism doesn't make you any better than the people that you're condemning, even if you try to do it nicely. Why not let the Get Sleepy team decide what's best? Just saying..nicely of course 😊

Oh, the voice reminds me of my mom. She would tell be soft stories at night when I was little and sick. I used to get scared when sick. The natrators tone reminds me of those moments, just radiating reassurance. ❤❤❤

Why is everyone leaving crappy yelp reviews for something like this?! They don’t need your opinion or critique of what YOU need. Just find your favorite & listen to them. Real simple. 🤦♀️
Yes, that's what I do. I still like to hear the stories if they look or sound interesting to me. I might not can sleep through some of the voices here because it has to be a certain tone for me to sleep but they have so many different people with different tones that everyone should be able to find someone that works for them. I think it's a good idea to have the same person read the relaxation techniques as the story, that way the initial tone can continue throughout. But, I personally thank everyone that works so hard here. ❤ You can please some of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, BUT you will never please ALL of the people ALL of the time.
That’s awful, I didn’t know. Especially when they’re providing a free service for people; it must be really disheartening for the creators. People act like bullies to content creators these days to get what they want, like they own them.
It’s unsettling that an increasing number of people can be so self-entitled and, even worse, blatantly infantile that they’d have the audacity to rudely whinge upon hearing a different narrator than the one they expected… on a programme for which they don’t need to pay to enjoy… and can access virtually anytime…
To be clear, this does not include the people who share their opinions in a constructive, discursive, conversational manner. 😊

Ive been returning to this story over and over for comfort through a difficult health diagnosis. It is a warm reminder that I am still here on the earth and it is awakening with a beautiful budding spring...and people through the hustory of mankind have gathered together to celebrate as lufe cycles along. To be honest I'm afraid Thomas is the only voice I can drop off to sleep to, his voice is so calming, that's why I keep coming back to get sleepy when Thomas tells the story.
I like Thomas and other lady who did the Alice in wonderland one and some others, these guest stars don’t do anything for me

I was feeling so cozy and sleepy in the beginning, Thomas really brought me somewhere else entirely with his words. As soon as the narrator started reading my eyes shot open and i shut it off soon after.
Is this narrator Dan not Thomas as he announced?
A beautiful story, but for me not a beautiful voice, I found the readers voice to be gravely, and grating to listen to, which to me felt menacing. Not relaxing. I love this channel, and listen to many stories, but unfortunately for me this story needed a smooth, warm voice. Apologies for any offence, this message is sent in good grace

The only reason I prefer Thomas is because I’ve not had many partners and he was the first one I listened to so feels wrong to listen to another man in bed 😂 and I couldn’t possibly listen to a women as strange as it sounds. For me it’s like a man speaking to me in bed. 😂
There’s something special about his voice & it’s the only one on any channel that can put me into a safe place where I can relax

Seems like such a lovely story, but im gonna have to miss it tonight due to narrator voice issues.
I listen to get sleepy every single night and it is one of the only things that helps me sleep, but not when its an irritating voice. Minus the 3 thomas episodes that have come out the past month every get sleepy video this past little while has been an irritating narrator and I'm honestly so dissapointed! These all seem like such lovely stories but I cant handle the narrators. Really only Thomas, Simon or Elizabeth can help me calm down and sleep. So sad to keep seeing so many other narrators. 😥

@@mariecarie1 And I do. And I really seriously love this channel. I get so excited when I see they've uploaded a new video. But then to see a narrator that can be difficult for me to listen to I feel so disappointed. It's a video a can't fully enjoy. And the Thomas Playlist hasn't been updated in a year and most the videos there I've already listened to. So thats why I'm excited for something new when they post a new vid, bit then so sad when it's not Thomas, Simon, or Elizabeth. And I'm not hating on Heather or any of the other narrators. Everyone on the get sleepy team is so wonderful and I deeply appreciate everything they do. They help me sleep every single night. But aside from those 3 narrators, the other ones are more difficult to listen to because some are too gravely and it's like its itching my brain which doesn't help me sleep, some are too high pitched, and some are honestly trying to hard to speak low and soft. Which in the case of the latter, it causes their voice to float between "sleepy voice" and their regular voice. Then the change of tone is disrupting. And their "sleepy voice" doesn't sound natural, it feels forced. Making it hard to fall asleep to. Which is one of the reasons I like Elizabeth for example and will be spending the next month or so slowly listening to her Anne of Green Gables story. She just simply reads the story with her normal voice. There's no active effort to stretch words out and speak super slow. She just calmy reads a story and it is wonderful to listen to.
Anyway. I don't mean to throw hate, I just wanted to express that I felt sad about a wonderful story I'd be missing tonight due to my personal auditory issues.
@@jandelechristensen2019 Honestly, I completely understand that. I have auditory issues like that too. I was in a terrible mood last night and shouldn’t have been so rude. I guess for me, I don’t mind listening to Thomas or Elizabeth or Simon’s stories over and over, but I guess I can see why others might not. I know what you mean about some voices sounding grating and keeping you from being able to fully rest. And I respect that, truly. I was pretty trigger happy with my comments last night and shouldn’t have been. Being an empath, I think I get defensive when people criticize someone else’s art, or attempt at it. Or at least, when I perceive it as criticism, which maybe it wasn’t here. My apologies.
That's ok, and I might have come across as a little rude in my initial comment too. It was also late and I was tired too. And I felt that there had been an onslaught of not my favorite narrators that had been recently posted, but then I looked back at their videos and the pattern went like this, Thomas, Thomas, abbe, Andrew, Thomas,Heather, Thomas, Arif, Thomas, Elizabeth, Thomas, Heather.
So I realized that yes, some not favorite narrators had been posted, but most of their videos were Thomas. They staggered him out between other narrators. So the get sleepy team knows what they're doing and they know who the fan favorite is while giving the other narrators a chance too.
So I was wrong in saying that they had given us a bunch of not Thomas narrators, because for the most part that is the narrator they've given us. Haha, guess I should do my research first.
Side note that I think is funny and the reason why so many long time listeners only like Thomas now is because he does most the videos and we only hear his voice when we sleep we are classicaly training our brains to fall asleep at the sound of his voice. Regardless of what words are coming out of his mouth. It's like Pavlovs dogs. They hear bell, they drool, we hear Thomas voice, we sleep.
