Expertly done mate! Great to see the dry fishing so well, the video really didn't show just how challenging that wind was either, it was really howling for about half the time! Thanks for coming up and fishing with us, great weekend! :)
Welcome to NSW Tom! Great to see you up here and nice to see you get together with another RUclipsr! Twice the value ... and a reminder to stop blaming the fish (or the cormorants!) ... 🙂 Hope you enjoyed the trip. Cheers PP
Perfect timing. I thoroughly appreciated the clinic on Sunday, but it is great to see the content in action here on this river. I am temporarily staying in the region and have fished this river 4 times in the last two weeks, and so far no luck. Tough times! Great to see where you were catching them and with what. My next session, likely on the same river, will be this Thursday, so fingers crossed. Will be tying up a couple of spare leaders in preparation. ;)
Awesome to see you fishing the local!! Great practice day for you with the travelling. Incredible read of the water and conditions… truly showing us locals up!!! WTF a TJF ‘guide error’ ( feeling just slightly better for hook pulling now ha ha!!)😂 😂
@@tomjarmanfishing3208 you would have landed it if you just used my unique system…20 years of 4x addiction, shallow rod angles….and try sliding on your butt down the bank next time 🤣🤣🤣
Hey Tom! I moved to Sydney from the UK a year ago - you very kindly offered me advice about bringing my flies and kit through customs, Thanks! I’ve been fishing the Cox’s River and Fish river with very limited success - I guess the Aussie trout are a bit more wiley than the Yorkshire ones. Could you tell me where this is? Thanks, Pete
Hi pete I've had good luck on the fish river in the past but apparently the track i used the farmer has stopped people using it, where abouts do you access the fish river?
@@anthonylagan9486Hi Anthony. There’s access at Duckmaloi by the bridge, also a couple of spots near Tarana, the campsite (a bit busy), Mutton falls and Phil’s Falls. Do you have any tips that might help get my catch rate up…?
@derekprendergast7503 Hi Pete, I've found that it's best to go on overcast/colder days trout hate the warm water temperatures they stop feeding so best to go very early in the morning of its giving a hot day, also the more water in the river will benefit as this should keep the water temperatures slightly colder so best to go after rains but not to soon as the river may be dirty for a couple days after, use hares ear nymphs and royal wolf flies, if all else fails head to the snowies for much better fishing.
G'day Pete, we were fishing on some private access with permission from the land owner, so it's not a publicly accessible spot unfortunately. I'd suggest if you want to get some more info on the central west, and meet some like-minded anglers, then come along and join the Sydney Flyrodders club. Our members fish the central west area regularly and can help keep you up to date on what's happening. Cheers, Peachy. :)

Also I thought the access atbthe duckmalloi was to the duckmalloi river not the fish?
