Don't be stupid. I watched the whole game as a ravens fan and I was definitely impressed by him. Great arm, good legs, and good intangibles. If he continues to improve he's a bona-fide top 10 QB after his rookie season just like Stroud was last year.

I know TJ Watt might not be the best Pass Rusher in the league, but I swear there hasn't been anyone more valuable on Defense over the past like 4 years. It'll be a very sad day for me when he's no longer on the field for my team.
he's not the best pure pass rusher, but if you wanted to call him the best edge rusher because he's an elite pass rusher along with being an instinctive playmaker with a nose for the football, i wouldn't argue with you
From what I heard from Dan Campbell, the Lions moved BB to safety because it feels more comfortable for him, not necessarily 100% them wanting to put him there
Quick note on that Mike Williams play.... Look at Rodgers' dropback. He took a shotgun snap and went 7 steps, hitched twice, and then climbed the pocket.... I have no idea what route timing he expected there. I think Williams was running a clear route and never expected the ball to come his way. Rodgers underthrew it late and the guy made a hell of an interception.
The Rattler praise felt good to hear. Locally there’s places that really favor Carr heavily, and while the O-Line is still injured and horrible and is bound to get someone hurt I’m not looking forward to him trying to come back too soon from that oblique
So I watched three game this weekend. The Commanders Ravens game, the Texans Patriot game, and the Bills Jets game. I am more or less agree with Marcus's assessment of the Ravens Commanders game. The Ravens didn't dominate the game, but they had the game in control throughout if that makes sense. It was a game where if Henry fumbled in the fourth and then Lamar threw a pick on the following drive the Commanders could win, but in order to win the Commanders needed some sequence like that to happen (similar to how the Raiders got back to back turnovers in the fourth quarter to pull the upset) and that sequence never happened. I think the Ravens pass defense is not good, but I think its ranking near the bottom of the league in pass defense stats overstates the problem. They have played 6 games and have played Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Prescott, and Daniels (plus Menishew). Thats a lineup that would make a a good pass defense look average and an average one look bad which I think is what the Ravens are (an average pass defense that looks bad due to the competition). For the Commanders, they just could matchup with the Ravens big personnel. They probably won't be the last team that cannot handle that Ravens offense. In the Texans Patriots game, I thought the Texans played a good game. I thought Maye did well considering the competition as I think the Texans are a top 5 or 6 defense. That is a good defense. Maye was a mixed bag, but I would feel optimistic about him if I were a Patriots fan because he made some nice plays. He has a game this Sunday against a much weaker Jags defense this Sunday so that will be interesting to see what he can do in that game. In the Bills Jets game, I thought both teams played decent. I thought the game flow was messed up due to all the penalties. I think the Jets offense already looked better and with Davante Adams they will be a good offense. Their defense doesn't look as dominate as it did the past two years, but its hard not to regress when you have been top 3 in that category two years in a row. I think Josh Allen is really good and Amari Cooper could be a nice addition as that receiving corps was pretty meh.
I cannot remember for sure, I would have to rewatch the play but I think you may have incorrectly described the flea flicker screen. The Commanders had two RB's in the backfield, McNichols and Ekeler. I think the initial handoff was to McNichols who pitched it back to the QB, when then threw the screen to Ekeler.
Great recap of all games. Im hopeful with nabers returning this week our offense will finish drives. I was shocked jones looked so inept against the Bengals defense.
It's what it looks like if Lamar has more than 12 year vets and low quality coaching. They are unstoppable as a team with the best QB in the league should
Brian Branch at safety is one of many reasons I am tired of Aaron Glenn. The players love him, but he seemingly has no awareness of how to maximize the talent of his players. He stubbornly runs the same schemes 90% of the time and it has worked better as the Lions have gotten more talented on defense, but I don’t think the defense will ever reach its ceiling with him.
I saw somewhere that since benching Bryce the panthers are 11th (!) in scoring offense. This defense though. On pace to be the worst scoring defense of all time, literally
As a Jags fan: positives are that some young players look good, the stadium deal passed so they're in Jacksonville for the next 30 years, and there's now no reason for them to not have new uniforms next year.
I agree with your point to an extent about Brian branch however, the lions don’t have a second safety that they can start next to Kerby Joseph. Melifonwu has been hurt so are they going to start a Brandon Joseph or Loren Strickland? I would hope not.
Weird that there was no mention of Taylor Rapp who played fantastic against the Jets, as big of a return as Taron Johnson, he missed Texans game with concussion And Von should miss 4 games, not 6
for denver having PS2 go down like first defensive drive with a concussion was definitely noticable. riley moss is good, but he isn't go remove this guy from the game kind of good, so having to kinda bump all their coverage responsibilities up a "tier" so to speak made the secondary worse, which made the pass rush worse because the shorter time to throw, which they just aren't talented enough to overcome right now.
I think Drake Maye will be okay despite the weak supporting cast. It is possible he does develop some bad habits and regresses, but I think it is different than Byrce Young. I don't think Bryce Young ever had it. 70% of Bryce Young's issue is he just too short to see the field from the pocket. In college he was able to succeed despite that...I don't know why. Perhaps he had cleaner pocket, perhaps pass rushers used less rush lane integrity which allowed him to get out of the pocket at will, perhaps college defenses are less precise and he had more room to throw guys open without throwing an interception. Whatever the reason he was able to be a great player at the college level despite his height and that hasn't translated. I think that is common for short QB's. Sam Howell is two inches taller than Bryce and I think it limited him. I think it limits Kyler Murray who is a serviceable passer from the pocket, but elite outside the pocket. It probably limits Jalen Hurts pocket passing abilities some as he is 2.5 inches taller than Bryce. But I think Bryce just never was going to have it. HIs surrounding situation didn't help, but its not what caused his problem. The Panthers had their best passing game of the season last year in the one game Dalton started and this year as soon as Bryce got benched the passing game improved. I think even people like myself who liked Bryce Young in that draft over CJ Stroud gave lip service to the fact there was some risk because of his height, we just thought he would overcome it. But that risk that his height brought did come to fruition. I think Maye has all the physical tools including height to succeed. He tends to spray balls and his accuracy is just okay so that needs to improve, but I think he has shown he sees the field and get through his reads. I think Maye will be a franchise QB much like I think the same for Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels. The question that will remain for all three of them if they become a franchise QB is what level. To use Marcus's 3 tiers, there are tier 1 franchise QBSs(Mahomes, Allen Burrow, maybe Lamar, tier 2 (Herbert, Stafford) tier 3 (Prescott, Hurts, Murray, Cousins)

Fields just can't catch a break. He comes into the NFL. His first HC doesn't want him. Nagy refuses to allow Fields to practice with the starting receivers. Then he's forced to start Fields. So he hasn't once looked at what Fields can do. What does Nagy do? Thinks "Aaron Rodgers is the best QB. Can you move your feet & throw like him?" Fields treats everyone with deference & respect. His coach asks A, he's gonna do A.I don't know if it _worked_ because A) he never allowed Fields to try anything else, B) ruclips.net/video/glpaya0xz-4/видео.html his receiving corps turned passes that hit them in the hands into INTs & according to one researcher, so did his coaches: twice they shouted "snap the ball, they have 12 on the field, free play" & were wrong. Both led to INTs. So Fields may have thrown max 3 TO-worthy passes all year, but the Bears netted him 7 more. Then there was Eberflus. Let's start with the dis. Do you know how awkward the Rodgers/Saleh attempted hug was? That's nothing. After a good drive that led to a TD Fields went over to shake Eberflus' hand on the sideline. 'Flus looked at him: held his eye for a second. Then coldly turned & walked away wordlessly. I don't think I can properly communicate just how immense this was. It's as if he kneed Fields in the gut or nuts, pantsed him while he squirmed in pain then asked the whole team to laugh at him while he was on the ground. Because he did this in front of the ENTIRE TEAM! & in that moment everyone should have known the sabotage was on. 2) 'Flus boasted that He Decides what plays to limit the offense to. 3) Week 4 or 5 Fields "suddenly Developed" a tendency to stop himself throwing to Wide Open receivers. If ANY QB suddenly starts this the team should take him into protocol. When the Bears didn't do that & Fields continued doing this, reporters realized that the Bears knew he wasn't concussed without checking. Ergo, Fields was executing the plays As Called. Reporters realized that Eberflus was "asking" (because when your coach "asks you" to do A, what choice do you have?) Fields to Not Throw to certain receivers on certain plays. This is where fans evolved the "he holds onto the ball too long" meme as if this had Always Been Happening. 4) Fields finally called this out publicly after week 6. 5) The Bears changed their entire playbook over the next 4 weeks then switched back, proving with both actions that yes, play-calling was 100% responsible for their woes. Because they averaged 31 points a game under the new plays. 6) Then they Voluntarily Switched Back to calling plays they knew produced under 20 a game. This alone would have gotten ANY HC fired. (If you take the POV that the OC did all this, then the HC is a moron for not noticing). So by no later than week 5 of '22 Eberflus revealed that he had No Intention to make things work with Fields & set about sabotaging Fields' career. Now because no one seems to know this backstory despite it all making the news his current coaches think of & treat him like a mentally challenged child who will fall into an active volcano if they don't Limit Him. When you spend all your free time worrying about someone's negatives, you're going to end up only seeing & blaming them for any negatives. Fields threw an INT against the Chargers on a screen thrown with anticipation. _Clearly_ an idiotic play-call. But if you're in the mindset that Fields creates TOs when not controlled you simply exert more control. The next 2 games he wouldn't allow deep throws & they lost to the Cowboys, a team anyone can throw deep against. All because Smith & Tomlin believe the empty rhetoric & don't realize they're just piling on the damage. Fields likely never understood _why_ he was treated as a non-person in CHI. But not trusting him to be able to Make Decisions is doing it again. He hadn't regained his confidence. The preseason proved that. Smith is eroding it further. He has the Worst Luck.
@@ChewsCarefully Outside of Garrett Wilson Zach Wilson didn’t have good receivers and had a poor offensive line. Fields had good receivers in Chicago but he couldn’t get the ball to his receivers. It’s not Arthur Smith fault that Justin Fields is missing open receivers.

While _this year_ Darnell Mooney is making near-élite catches, ankle-breaking moves & flipping into the end zone, all he did for Fields was deflect the passes that hit him in the hands to the other team à la Kadarius Toney. This was Fields' #1 WR for his 1st 2 years. Garrett Wilson got over 1,000 yards. So I guess he sucked hunh? Fields got the ball to his receivers constantly. The tape reveals this.
Fields hasn’t had bad luck Zach Wilson has had bad luck
@@ethanducharme2510 How so?
@@ChewsCarefully Outside of Garrett Wilson Zach Wilson didn’t have good receivers and had a poor offensive line. Fields had good receivers in Chicago but he couldn’t get the ball to his receivers. It’s not Arthur Smith fault that Justin Fields is missing open receivers.
@@ethanducharme2510 I included this link ruclips.net/video/glpaya0xz-4/видео.html for a reason.
Wilson flung the ball anywhere in a panic not caring who caught it. Do you even watch the games?
as long as josh allen keeps this up, he is the runaway mvp. the ONLY narrative left on him coming into this season was how he turned the ball over too much. 0 INTERCEPTIONS THROUGH 6 GAMES!!! are you kidding me? no excuses left for him. he is the mvp, as long as he sustains this level of play

Your Rattler take aged like raw milk. He was shit in week 6 and he's even more shit tonight. Your Carr hatred it clouding your judgement.
Why do you think Caleb Williams pocket presence could translate to the NFL but it didn’t for Bryce Young
My cowboys suck right now
Woooo first!
I know the chiefs aren't gonna be talked about, but just wanna say its interesting how the chiefs have been better at short yardage stuff with hunt then with Pacheco. Against the saints the announcers brought it up when Hunt got a 4th down forcing a missed tackle that would have stopped him early
