@frisco9568 tortillas came from the indigenous ancestors in Mesoamerica. Mesoamerica expands from Central Mexico all the way to Central America. Mexico is a country that came after colonization that included only part of Mesoamerica. It's sad that nationalism makes people want to be gatekeepers of the rich, indigenous roots that both Central/Southern Mexicans and Central Americans share.

If you flatten the balls a little with your palms, you get fewer cracks on the edges.

/// just use a rolling pin, put a small portion of the tortillas dough under plastic film or a plastic bag folded in two, roll over it until flattened and that's it
Just be mindeful of your own force, that way you wom't end up with broken or uneven tortillas 😊

Honestly there is something so refreshing about simple food. Especially mexican street food. Like elote and sweet potatoe

My dad is the reason why I love cooking. Normally he worked at making houses and rarely cooked, but when he did, the food was really good and he always told how he made the food and how it was cooked. He also showed me how to make green and red hot sauces, i am happy to have a fathe like him as he is the reason why i want to he a chef. :]
