i have 5 rescues...............all of them have sad stories that brought them to me.......the end story is good for all of them.....love , a safe comfortable home, cozy beds, safe fenced yard, wildly protected, well-fed, happy play time......
My wife is a retired groomer and is addicted to watching you now that she is physically incapable of doing it herself. Her last day of work she had to go to the ER to get her scissors cut off her hand. Her arthritis has just ruined her hands. She says you are one of the most talented groomers shes seen since school. Good on you, madam Croy.
Wow, I am so so sorry to hear that. You tell her, that is why I made the www.dogupstand.com because those groomers who tell me "I don't need assistance" "I have a helper" or ones I've seen at conventions, who say, "my hand is fineeeeee".... I'm like "be honest man" it's not "FINE" we ALL know the wear and tear it takes to do this job (like a barber and barbress too) and it's a lot on us. One day, I'm not going to be able to carry on either, so my impression on the groomers, I hope, helps many. Thank you for your story and sharing the REAL! Means a lot to me!
Stem cells are helping with that sort of thing.... Insurance doesn't cover it yet but for $8k you might just turn her condition around and in TX its been legalized fully.
What a transformation!! Boo was pretty patient considering her state at that moment. Well done!! I hope you do a follow up vid on her to tell us about her left front paw and settling in her forever home.
I’m in training of becoming a certified dog groomer and your videos really help me. I watch them every day. I love how good you are with them ❤️ thank you for these videos!
Dee, I’ve been watching your videos for several months now. I’m an animal care technician at a shelter in Connecticut and everything you’ve taught me has really helped me to help make my longer haired, matted, neglected dog and cat friends more comfortable and every time they leave the table, you can see how much they appreciated getting their painful mats removed and cleaned up. They look and act like new pets afterwards. Every time I have a friend on the table I think of you and you’ve helped me make more of a difference. This video really hit home for me. Thank you so much for everything. Boo looks beautiful!!! Her demeanor changed so much from beginning to end - she came in panting and stressed from her transport and became so calm towards the middle and end. I’m saving up so I can get some clippers and gear from you that are geared towards grooming and not just surgery prep shaves.
She was such a sweet girl. I thank her parents for adopting from a shelter. I volunteer at a shelter and thank you for suggesting that groomers help with the grooming at a shelter. We try to bathe but don't know enough to cut or clean the private areas, and ears.
I just rescued a dog, a German Shepard mix boy. He is the sweetest boy, everyone should get their dog at a shelter. Thank you for promoting rescuing pets! 🌸
My old dog had these absolutely wonderful groomers who cried when we called and said that he passed away. They were so good with him and he even liked their dog (he was a smaller dog and got attacked by bigger dogs so he did not like dogs). Thank you so much for caring for dogs and customers this much. We go to the same groomers for my new dog. They love him as well.
ColtraneAndRain I groomed my Maltese ONCE! Didn’t do that again. It’s worth the money to set an appointment with someone who knows what they are doing, I think my Maltese agreed with that decision! 🙄
@@lindacarsonlawrence4982 My maltese is very sensitive with his hair. He has a trauma caused by a groomer, so my mum had to learn how to groom him. It took her a lot of tries to master how to cut and style his hair, but it is possible :)
I would have snatched this dog up if I could have. I'm sure she has already got a forever home. I had a rescue dog that was so great! She lived with us for 14 years. She was 16 when she died and she was such a part of our family. Rescuing is a very worthwhile thing.
Looking forward to Boo’s next grooming visiting video, can’t wait to see what her haircut will look like. Congrats to her parents for adopting. She appears more terrier like than poodle mix.
I rescued a Maltese mix who had been on the streets for at least 3 years and was full of flees & ticks plus very sick! With TLC and vitamins, he’s beautiful now. He’s the most grateful, loving dog & so happy to just have a home! Please rescue these dogs!! They seem to know that you saved their lives & make great pets 🐶
dede.. maybe you can put a before after shot at the end of the vid.. 😊 just for reference.. and also.. maybe some behind the scenes when they get back to their parents? I just love seeing them happily go to their mums and dads showing off their new look 😂 love your vids!
Absolutely would love to see the owner’s reaction. I have two dogs, a shipoo and a jacktzu . I let their hair grow longer and then have them a puppy cut. It’s an absolute celebration when we reunite after the haircut. I adore their cute look and they just happy to see me again.

You’re more than a groomer, you’re an angel. May almighty God keep you close and bless you each and every day. You’re amazing grace...how sweet the song! Bless you!
Great groomer! connects with all the dogs without resorting to baby talk to entice a dog to behave like so many of us. Lol. Dede got mad skills. Love the transformations.
Wow, you're amazing. I don't even have a pet but I really enjoy watching you groom these animals. You're kind and patient and thorough. You work very well
I can't wait to see a follow up either....love to see Boo-boo in a shirt or sweater. She turned out to be a rather reasonable sweet pup! Haircut is terrific and I love her ears!
LOVE!!!!! I’m in the rescue field, I knew I enjoyed you before watching this video......however, now I’m completely hooked!!!! There’s so many special things about a rescue baby, and something as simple as a haircut or even a good bath.....can change their entire demeanor. I love how gentle and diligent you are. You say, it’s not about making them pretty at this point, yet you make them look so pretty because your a perfectionist. Thank you for sharing this!!
I love watching your videos. I don't do grooming but I love animals and I like to see their new looks. I grew up with 2 schnauzers and my mom learned how to do a schnauzer cut when they were young to save money. By the time I was 11 or so, she had taught me and I groomed them too. :)
She really does seem like a very patient and sweet dog. I sincerely hope her new parents take good care of her and show her the love she's so obviously in need of. Well son!

You make me want to learn how to groom dogs. You are amazing with the skills and top notch service.Your empathy completely shines through in every video. Thanks for keeping me company.
I know you will never see this but you do amazing work! My mom had a chow chow she just left tied out all the time, wasn't allowed in the house. This was my dog from childhood and after I moved out my mom would just feed and water her. I was not allowed to take the dog because she paid for it. I would go and groom my Sweetie 6 times a year and I felt like it wasn't fair. She would get matted so bad because no one would even pet her. I hated seeing her matted and sunstained, she was an amazing dog and fully house trained. By no means am I claiming to be a groomer but I was the only person who could get that close to her.
Dede, I absolutely love your personality and the way you handle each dog! As a student vet tech a lot of these techniques apply for what I do and they are so useful!
I have been following your videos on U-tube on matting and grooming and I am very so impressed. You are fantastic and do a wonderful job. I will share with my friends. We all have dogs. You are so professional and are so nice to the dogs. What entails on the basket . You’re great!
I’d love to see some more videos of dogs that get groomed regularly and don’t necessarily need to be shaved. Like how you might do a maintenance groom.
No idea how I ended up watching your videos, I think I got lost in RUclips, but I am so glad I found this channel!! These videos have been so interesting that I ended up watching five of them in under two days. I am a barista so I never had any interest in grooming pets until watching your videos... I think these videos are fantastic!! As are you!
We fought ear infections with my Lab, and were getting discouraged. Then our new vet took a sample and looked at it microscopically. The dog had yeast and bacterial infections, and she had him on several pills and ointments and ear wash. We followed instructions exactly, and IT WORKED. Don’t give up...see your vet, and ask for an ear exam with the microscope if he doesn’t suggest it!
This is yrs past the time you groomed her, but I love your approach to grooming and feeling out the animal. I love how you handled the rescue dog and made her easier for the new parent. Getting a kit together and throwing in some shirts was so kind. She was so pretty in the end. Poor thing; you wonder what she went through yet she's such a good dog!!!.🐕🐕🐶🐾🐾🐾🐾🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a difference in before and after. She’s got a lovely temperament and thank God it seems she’s going to a good forever home. I noticed from the start she had pain somewhere on that front left paw. It might be her joint but definitely needs checking by a vet I agree. I would have loved to have seen her owners’ reaction when she saw her!
You are so patient and quick grooming these dogs. Boo was also very good, My dog does not want to be groomed at all and yet he was very good with his first couple of cuts. any advice?
I think your attitude and personality with dogs is commendable. You have mad skills and knowledge, but I would love to have you groom my dogs...just don’t live close enough. Really good work and compassion
Boo seems much more alert and "with it" I hope she feels as good as she looks. A new hair cut and a new home and good parents....A new life for little Boo! Im so excited for her. Great work Dede. *the front paw looks a little oddly shaped and some what swollan*

i love how dogs r still able to trust humans after being abused and/or abandoned
itsjustliv a lot of them don’t after being abused
Dogs like humans respond to love and care, they are trusting too. Which makes it sickening/horrible when humans abuse.
i have 5 rescues...............all of them have sad stories that brought them to me.......the end story is good for all of them.....love , a safe comfortable home, cozy beds, safe fenced yard, wildly protected, well-fed, happy play time......

Good point. They must be born with a generous heart, a gift from God

The best she is I’m addicted too!
I wish I could have seen or heard the parents reaction of this wonderful transformation. And what a great temperament!
I would love to see before and after pictures at the end! I feel like it would add a better conclusion to your videos.
Michaela Kathleen That's a good idea!

I would love the before and after ending too, it feels unfinished so I always go back and look
excellent idea for videos
I would love to see the pet parents reaction :)
As a dog groomer, It’s amazing how progressively she started to calm down when she realized she wasn’t in any real danger. Your work is amazing
She's matted, but so friendly!
bruh she was working on the ear. you cant risk cutting ANYTHING near there.
I wonder if something is up with that front left leg. She really doesn’t want it touched.
I was thinking the same! Overall she is really relaxed except from the leg... Maybe a past injury that is never properly cared for?
What a transformation!! Boo was pretty patient considering her state at that moment. Well done!! I hope you do a follow up vid on her to tell us about her left front paw and settling in her forever home.

As are you!
My dog had the same thing Boo had in the ear. Took him to the vet. He had yeast infection. Put drops for 20days. He's fine now
This dog should be taken to a vet too. This cleaning is not enough.
They yelled through the door that Boo was going to the vet on Monday after they were told the dog had an ear infection. 👍👍
Ive been watching a lot of grooming videos and you have such a light touch and you are quick!!
I like the way your powerful clippers work so fast and smoothly. It's easier on the dog. Of course, your expert touch is important too.
