I own a spacecable and they are awesome. I bought mine around July 2019 and the cable stopped working about around November 2019, that being said by December 2019 after talking with the guys at spacecables I already had my cable replaced for a totally new one with the same specs.

Max Brockman yeah by no means are either of these cables prices justified, but ultimately the coils are strictly for looks. No matter how many times you reverse coil it, its gonna stretch if you pull it a bunch. Which is why no one should spend $60+ on these. Just do it yourself with a heat gun (or even hair dryer), and a dowel today
I saw those cables and I thought it was made by a beginner looks like ass
because he's literally trying to use them as a slinky in the video, that's not their purpose of use. It's strictly aesthetic. They tell you on the sites, These are not slinky toys, do not use them or play with them like a slinky, you're going to screw up the coils, which is what was achieved in this video.

The dream cable is like 4 or 5 months old, the space cable is less than a month old

i made mine with a yc8 and coiled it myself. Being my first build it turned out better than both. And i paid $40 after shipping.

I just got a coil cable from dream cables and I would say they’re not worth it. I’ve just started making my own coil cables and they’re just as good as the ones I bought and cost me half as much. The dream cables one has a 5 pin aviator which is a weird since most people use 4 pin connectors. The 5th pin is most likely wired to the shielding in the cable which you don’t need. The usb c connector only plugs in one way, which totally defeats the purpose of the usb c. The coils were also sort of loose, but slightly more consistent than what I can do. Overall, if you can solder and have the tools, buy a custom kit and make your own.
Mechanikey has much tighter coils
If you want to tighten your coil back up, wrap it tightly around a dowel and use a heat gun or hair dryer on it for a while.

What’s wrong with that lol stuff is expensive. Plus sometimes they try things I don’t even think about trying and I end up liking them! Like now, after he let me borrow his custom cables, I am now 100% a fan as I’ve gotten more into custom keyboards with themes

$71.18 rounds to $71, not $72. You said flexibility doesn't matter because "it's for your keyboard and laying on your desk" but then boast of "springy coils"....What for? Also, pull them apart the same distance. If you are comparing apples to apples (a non biased, even comparison) then pull them apart the same distance and let go. One will easily spring back harder if you pull it apart twice the distance of the other. Just trying to help you provide better reviews.
Springiness of the coils just keeps them looking better on your desk if the coils are tighter brother not for “performance” lol
The coils are for aesthetics... you are not supposed to pull them like that because they get permanetly loose and kink easy...
So FYI Space Cables has a new coiling technique that they are currently using that they started after the cable I reviewed was made. I have one of the newer cables too and that boy is stiff, it’s 10x better
