Hill climbs in America: requires drivers to be in fire proof suits. Hill climbs in Italy: smokes while driving in shorts and more likely, sandals. Also hauls a buddy just for sh!ts and giggles.
His story made me go find the video and i watched the hole thing lol and thinking i bet he isn't so fast to say yes to a ride with out a few questions and or this experience playing over and over in his head and him telling him self that was a first class ride but im not looking to repeat the recovery my body had to deal with after. ED love the storys and this channel keep up the good work it brightens my days up on the days i need it the most Thank You.
its a shame maseratis have that problem of reliability, they seem pretty famous for being poorly built. when you cant provide a reliable car, you lose everyone but fools and tneir money bruh
Would you please change the rules for the winning the car drawing please? I am married with 2 sons and dont have any legit reason to use your app but I lost my truck too massive engine failure and desperately need anything. Huge fan
Oh my god, the MC12 was my dream car back in the day, and the Corse was the cherry on top. It was kind of a bloated Enzo at the end of the day, but my god did a single car ever restore prestige in a brand. Think of it: before it Maserati made this, they had made middle of the road Grand Tourers for years, like the Gran Turismo, the almost compact Ghibli, and... _american_ _cars_ Yeesh, lets forget those. The MC12 is a very special car, and is a timeless classic now.
@@luke5196 You're half right, I got the GT confused with the coupé they made from 1998-2007, but they made the Ghibli for a great many years. The specific model of Ghibli I was referring to was made from 1992-1998. It looks like a compact car.
I've said it before & I'll say it again, Sam will ALWAYS get a thumbs up from me & if you're not subscribed to his channel, you don't know what you're missing.
Wow !!! Faster than a speeding bullet looking for a lighter, then lighting a smoke ??? This driver was a legend thank God someone was there to document this. Incredible ❤
This style of driving must be an Italian thing. I remember a motorbike ride with the concierge at my hotel in Sorrento and I thought I was going to die. There were eight of us on vacation and only seven seats in the Mercedes van. The concierge handed me a helmet and said hop on the back of a Ducati. We must have been going 70 miles an hour through side streets and alleys. I remember he made a left-hand turn from the right lane and cut off another tour bus to make the entrance to a chicane down a cliff. Two words: HOLY SHIT!
Yes, that was the craziest video I’ve seen by STG!!! It’s amazing!!! Thanks for having him back on, easily one of the best storytellers on this channel!!!
Oh wow! That's a Dunhill Rollagas lighter!! Those things are amazing. I've restored a few of them so far. Truly amazing pieces of art. Just like the car of course, the closest I ever got to a MC12 was seeing one hurtle down the road.
Sounds like a fucking awesome ride! This is the kind of storyteller that has made this channel such an amazing experience, hope we'll get to see him again.
@@jsquared1013 yeah same thing here in USA and as well in Serbia where I am originally from. I was just joking since it looks like a joint which would not surprise me at all hehe
The sound effects alone made this video worth it.
I love him doing this effects :D
I’m too high😭😭GREAT STORY ALREADY
Just like Jay Leno 😂

Rules are really strict here in italy, but people whit enough money tend to not give a fuck
In italy if there is no officer, rules are guidelines
You have to love Sam's animated storytelling style. Thanks for coming by to share the stories!
His Enthusiasm is contagious! Love seen through glass!
Ed Bolian let's not forget he has the best music as well
I love getting my day started with your video. Thank you
Have a Merry Christmas, Ed. I wish the best to you and your family.

Going flat out in a MC12 GT1 car and causally sparking a cigarette halfway through the run now that’s a badass
Aaron Teague quite possibly the most badass
and it's ruined by a twat smoking
*bunta flashbacks*
except he's cruising in 2nd gear in the actual video footage
This guy is such an amazing storyteller
Perhaps the prettiest race car of all time.

Prettiest for the week it came out, maybe....
@@vargohoat9950 bruh. its a racing car lmao. it doesnt need to last 10 years
What would be your dream race car to have a go in?
Maclaren f1
I'll have what he's having. MC12!!!
Something with a lot of downforce and a driver that can use it.
Honda with a Spoon engine

Haha "could" would actually make sense.
@MATTHEW575M I'm very aware of this. I just thought it was funny that their mistake made the quote sound like it actually made sense.
4:40 Are you telling me, he is basically doing bunta cigarete drift?
I thought the same lol.

Maserati made the Gran Turismo and Ghibli after the MC12, not before

@Jorn Navarre because it's longer & heavier than the Enzo

Old dudes like that make most ppl look like sissies. Hard to trump their stories! I'll try
This. Macari has been involved with this kind of thing for years. Had the Enzo on the 2003 Gumball from memory.
Wow !!! Faster than a speeding bullet looking for a lighter, then lighting a smoke ??? This driver was a legend thank God someone was there to document this. Incredible ❤
This was a great story, love the mc12. Absolute madlad

There's a guy in Germany who managed to have a "Corsa" (race-version) converted to German road use.
This seems so hyped you can tell it was crazy
Yeeeeaaaaaahhh.. that’s not a cigarette lol. Wishing everyone the best of health. Awesome story. Happy holidays everyone

Sam could do voiceover for rally videos 😂
He faced the final boss of Italy
Ferrari were in GT1 unofficially with privately entered 550s and 575s built by Prodrive, the same people who build the Aston Martin race cars today.
Great story and told Well 👍🏼
Sam, is the best! Makes me laugh!! 🤣
Last time I was this early, this could be red.
You have to almost sit down and prepare before listening to Sam speak haha
If slash was a race car driver, he too would drive one handed lighting a cigarette
Rumor has it that Sam is still dodging the Yakuza Gang member that he offended.
No better example of the difference between a 'man' & a 'boy' exists today....and I like Sam.
looks like bunta has a competitor
What a story!
7:03 his smoking in the car!
my favorite car ever made
wanna go for a spin in my mc12 with no passenger seat? I would sit on the floor even! great story!
Audi TT - - - the English Stradman
That driver smoking a spliff ? I smoke spliffs and that looks very much like a spliff lol
He’s a British version of that guy with no hair from the movie “Powder”
Joe Macari, Born badass smoking a cig an drivin a MC12 haulin ass like it’s nothing
The dogs were probably ovcharkas
Great adrenaline rush
I still wouldn't of done it without a racing seat and a 4/5 point harness. One mistake that's it
Can i see his recording of his hill climb on YT?
(If yes, please comment the link)
That wasnt just a ciggie, looked more like a cheeky bit of devils lettuce to me... defo not speaking from experience lol
That just makes it worse lol.
Sounds like a kid playing laser swords
Proper rockstar stuff smoking a cigarette whilst driving that!!
That guy sounds the man
i would not've survived that without a seat id fly out the window and faceplant a tree on the first sharp left
This guy can impersonate a 6 liter v12
It's the rb26 guys cousins with those noises
No seat? sure! I die if he bins the car but what the hell!
I've never thought of Sam having a last name.
When you live a Initial D moment moment

Some Italian folks I know roll their own legit tobacco cigarettes (with home-dried tobacco leaves, less crap in them than commercial brands).
