I was thinking the same thing. Often noise from tires comes from open lugs on the side of the tread, those tires are almost solid corners.
There's another YT'er has the same tires and he took his car on the drag strip. You could hear the tire noise at the end of the track. This is normal. All 100 trend tires make a lot of noise.
Things are loud asF... they make you question if your rear-end is fucked up, you have bad bearings or driveshaft is unbalanced. Lol but they have great grip
i think,you need an alignement.the big tires do the rest i think,when you have wider tires,the noise increases.And the surface of the streets are different
After paint correction, ceramic coating would be a great idea. That bad ass car deserves it.

Good video. I was thinking of getting these tires, but everyone said they make noise and everybody said they don't. I can definitely hear the tire noise it sounds like an off-road tire coming down the Street. I'm looking for something quieter!
Did your friend Andrew have the roaring sound with his Toyo R888’s when he had them on the terminator cobra?
I’d be more concerned about driving with them in the rain than the noise, as it is not recommended to drive with them in the rain due to safety concerns.
It’s not that bad I’ve driven with nt555rs in the rain as long as you take it easy you’ll be fine
Pretty sure they have a 4/5 rating in rain, really not bad at all
Personal opinion: if your buying street rated drag tires, it's because you want more traction at faster speeds and a better reaction time without spinning out. I'm almost 100% sure, the people who buy the tires for these purposes won't be attempting this in weather conditions that's arent ideal for these activities.
@@dietdestroyer986 I know right, obviously you shouldn’t being doing pulls in the rain anyways. If you are doing pulls in the rain you probably don’t have a fast car to begin with.
Sorry I didn't watch the entire video, but you need to run 36+psi in these tires or 1: they dont grip and 2: they are noisy. I used to run them all the time and they are probably the quietest tire i have run to date.
Check your tire pressure, dude. And your alignment. In case you havent noticed, the light color asphalt roads make FAR more tire noise than the darker pavement.
R888s are pretty much track tires and not designed for comfort
Toyo R888R’s sound like they’re running but they’re not. The tire Tread pattern make that noise. My old Pirelli Trofeo R’s made some slight noises too.

The problem with Toyo tires is if a rock or nail flies up and hits the sidewall the tire will rip right off the rim, potentially killing you. The tires are so crappy I wouldn't wish them on anyone.

Nice mustang and tires are nice when they are new and have some tread . Did you hear them make more noise as the tread life was less ? I have these on my car and I get a noise around 25-40mph .
I'd bet that's the rear end and not the tires, if its making noise at slower speeds its gonna make noise at faster speeds too.... In my past exp rear end whine/noise happens when your on the gas and is a symptom of the gears not being setup properly or they are just worn out. If your going 80 and you clutch in and throw it in neutral does the noise decrease?
LCAs causes more tire noise?!?! Maybe drive train noise but can’t understand how they would impact the tires. Agree on checking gears.

I have these tires on my Corvette ZO6 and they are not loud something is wrong with your tires or your car.
You make some cool videos and stuff but I think it's irresponsible to put the tires on blast when you don't know what it is I'm running 315-30-18's and they are not even close to being that loud the only thing I hear at speed is engine noise and exhaust. The only time I've ever heard any tire noise is when the tires age out.
My 13 gt makes that whining noise too in the back still don’t know what it is
Nitto NT555R Way better
Not shot, my friend... the Toyos are a better tire than any of the Nitto’s. I ran Nitto DR on all my cars and trucks for years. The R888R’s are a much larger tire in size, compared to the nitto’s. I think thats where they get the advantage.

seems like most if not all racing/semi-racing compunds step up their noise game just over 75/80. i used to convince myself that my laundry machine is always louder than my tires to keep them.

Interesting. I'm going to r888s because I can't hook till 4th with anything else. You cant go into 6th below 70 without the exhaust being annoying. If it the same that I cant do over 80 that's gonna be a very narrow highway range. Good thing it's not a daily

I had tires on my old 5th gen camaro, they were so loud. Anything above 50mph I couldn’t hear shit. I have NT05 on my coyote and quiet as shit
