Most of the rich back then were nobles or representatives of the church, i.e. were the government. And many of the rich that weren't nobles often got screwed over by them. That left few rich people that weren't part of the government.

Large portions of our population can't comprehend the concept of learning, working hard, being responsible, and saving money. They think somehow they've had money stolen from them despite the fact they never get off the couch and provide nothing to society.
This show’s demographic is a pretty small portion of the US, UK, and Canada which isn’t to say the majorities in those places aren’t also full of lazy bums and 304s.
But they have had an unbelievable amount stolen from them. The entire Progressive Era has been every generation voting for more government and more socialism, thus enslaving the next generation to pay for it, and the can got kicked down the road with each successive generation. So, while they may not have ever gotten off the couch and provided anything to society--they've also been saddled with over a century of "Give me free stuff now and later generations can pay for it later". Continuing the cycle, ultimately is the fault of previous generations not breaking it. As much as I hate millenials and zoomers, they aren't the reason everything is so f*cked up, just the reason everything continues to be so f*cked up. The reason everything is so f*cked up is previous generations engaging in the same voting habits for over a century. There is so much wrong with this that it won't last a single season. They will can it before the first one is even finished airing. Police will NOT shoot unarmed protestors, they will do what they're trained to do, de-escalate the situation and if that doesn't work they will use non-lethal force, pepper spray, water cannons, bean bag guns, NEVER live ammo. This is Canada, we don't do lethal force unless there is no other choice. Police in cities like Toronto will always use their tasers before their guns. Protestors up here do not trespass on private property, they will stay in public areas like the road or a sidewalk. Whoever writes this doesn't know how Canada works AT ALL. I hope Global regrets ever putting this shit out when the ratings tank so bad they lose all the money they put into it. Yes, Global TV is network TV, not streaming. Kids need to just watch Pokemon again. Ash is the quintessential goody-two shoes, who respects friends, strangers, and his pokemon while helping others and chasing after his lofty goal and he doesn’t cheat or cut corners.
What’s funny is that the entire building was throwing stuff at the sheriffs telling them to go away yet when there’s a domestic violence or a burglary or drug selling, they beg and beg the cops to come. It’s like let us do whatever we want only until our lives are in danger then please come.

But he wasn't a religion hater either. Immediately after, he finds and leaves expensive candles alone since it's the kind used for holy services instead of being part of the bishop's luxuries.
And then they get arrested, because they're such a bunch of idiots that they livestream themselves doing the looting, enabling the cops to easily determine their location and arrest them live on their own livestream recording.

I get annoyed when people talk about Robin Hood. He stole from the rich to give to the poor, but who was the rich, and why were they poor? Because the king was overly taxing the people. What was stolen was the tax money given back to the people.
Yes I pointed that out to someone in another comment. Robin stole from the tax collector and was returning the money. He wasn't taking it from rich individuals.
Exactly It was the crown and the tax collectors he went after. Any rich person or business owner (for modern day term) was left alone as they were being taxed just as hard. He didn't help them as much as they were able to weather the storm as it was while the homeless, elderly and families couldn't. Anyone who earned their money fairly was left alone. He was basically someone who resorted to being a criminal due to his heart of gold. If a rich person had their house or a merchant cart raided by the Sheriff or the crown. Robin would stand up for them and help them regain what was stolen or taken.
Well that changed over the centuries in which these stories were written. I think in the oldest surviving story he actually only steals from Bishops, Archbishops and the Sheriff himself.
From what I remember, he was stealing from the (acting King) Prince John because King Richard was away on the Crusades. John was taxing everyone to death and Robin being ‘of king and country’ took back what was wrongfully stolen.

The name "Pyle" is because Howard Pyle did one of the best-known collections of Robin Hood stories. But I fully believe the writers for this show didn't know that and assumed it was the name of King Richard.

I just did a bit of calculation and found out each cop has to be making maximum 833.33 per month, without any sort of other benefits and bonuses, to be able to stay under 20grand, which is the most expensive drones you mentioned. I was unemployed for a years during the pandemic, I re-trained, re-skilled and got a job in traffic control. The problem is that they hire way too many people and so many of us barely have enough shifts to get by. Last week I literally had NO WORK AT ALL. Unlike the jobless losers in this show, I am used to WORKING HARD, I'm not sure which job I can get into now though. I guess I'll have to retrain again. If people want 'modern entertainment' to change, all they have to do is ignore it long enough for it to collapse. RUclips channels with the biggest audiences only need to focus on GOOD ENTERTAINMENT i.e. shows that are pre-woke and aren't total garbage. It's sad that race-swapped garbage is the norm now. Western entertainment is dead to me.

There is so much wrong with this that it won't last a single season. They will can it before the first one is even finished airing. Police will NOT shoot unarmed protestors, they will do what they're trained to do, de-escalate the situation and if that doesn't work they will use non-lethal force, pepper spray, water cannons, bean bag guns, NEVER live ammo. This is Canada, we don't do lethal force unless there is no other choice. Police in cities like Toronto will always use their tasers before their guns. Protestors up here do not trespass on private property, they will stay in public areas like the road or a sidewalk. Whoever writes this doesn't know how Canada works AT ALL. I hope Global regrets ever putting this shit out when the ratings tank so bad they lose all the money they put into it. Yes, Global TV is network TV, not streaming. They simulcast on streaming but still keep the TV stations. And are beholden to the ratings like every other network show.

The only reason I wanted this show to come out was to see your reaction to it. People often forget that the story of Robin Hood was not robbing from the rich. He was robbing from Prince John's authoritarian government.

But he wasn't a religion hater either. Immediately after, he finds and leaves expensive candles alone since it's the kind used for holy services instead of being part of the bishop's luxuries.

I get annoyed when people talk about Robin Hood. He stole from the rich to give to the poor, but who was the rich, and why were they poor? Because the king was overly taxing the people. What was stolen was the tax money given back to the people.
Yes I pointed that out to someone in another comment. Robin stole from the tax collector and was returning the money. He wasn't taking it from rich individuals.
Exactly It was the crown and the tax collectors he went after. Any rich person or business owner (for modern day term) was left alone as they were being taxed just as hard. He didn't help them as much as they were able to weather the storm as it was while the homeless, elderly and families couldn't. Anyone who earned their money fairly was left alone. He was basically someone who resorted to being a criminal due to his heart of gold. If a rich person had their house or a merchant cart raided by the Sheriff or the crown. Robin would stand up for them and help them regain what was stolen or taken.
Well that changed over the centuries in which these stories were written.
I think in the oldest surviving story he actually only steals from Bishops, Archbishops and the Sheriff himself.
From what I remember, he was stealing from the (acting King) Prince John because King Richard was away on the Crusades. John was taxing everyone to death and Robin being ‘of king and country’ took back what was wrongfully stolen.

The name "Pyle" is because Howard Pyle did one of the best-known collections of Robin Hood stories. But I fully believe the writers for this show didn't know that and assumed it was the name of King Richard.
I thought it was because it’s a Pyle of sh1t.
Pyle's Men of Iron was one of my favorite novels as a kid.

I just did a bit of calculation and found out each cop has to be making maximum 833.33 per month, without any sort of other benefits and bonuses, to be able to stay under 20grand, which is the most expensive drones you mentioned. That means Robyn Hood and her people just attacked the poor. Yeah, not sure if the writers understood whatsoever what they just wrote.

When AZ said "heroes" in inverted quotes, I would instead just call them "protagonists". They're technically the focal point of the show and it avoids calling them something they're not. (I do this whenever my tabletop players are villainous)

I was unemployed for a years during the pandemic, I re-trained, re-skilled and got a job in traffic control. The problem is that they hire way too many people and so many of us barely have enough shifts to get by. Last week I literally had NO WORK AT ALL. Unlike the jobless losers in this show, I am used to WORKING HARD, I'm not sure which job I can get into now though. I guess I'll have to retrain again. If people want 'modern entertainment' to change, all they have to do is ignore it long enough for it to collapse. RUclips channels with the biggest audiences only need to focus on GOOD ENTERTAINMENT i.e. shows that are pre-woke and aren't total garbage. It's sad that race-swapped garbage is the norm now. Western entertainment is dead to me.
