@alltime.editzz - this was true, and the 'PS Plus Collection' has now been removed. You'll still have access to the games if you redeemed them, OR some are available in the PS Plus Game Catalogue. Remember that the Game Catalogue and PS Plus Collection are different things. The collection acted more like monthly games where you get them forever, the game catalogue can add and remove games whenever, so even if you claim a game from it, if it's removed, you won't have access even if you still have PS Plus.

They could take them away entirely, they took the PS2 Classic version of Midnight Club 3 and others off the PS3 store and from peoples libraries, meaning unless it was downloaded, it's gone forever.

This hurts because I got a ps5 a month after this was cancelled
I have more important information. The SSD in the PS5 is built into the motherboard, and its lifespan, as you know, is calculable. I suggest buying an external M.2 memory for PS5 games and an external USB-SSD for PS4 games as soon as possible.
The lifespan of an ssd is primarily determined by write operations. On a single purpose OS like the one of a ps5, the amount of write ops on a single memory cell over the years must thus be considerably lower than on a general purpose OS. I can hardly imagine that the internal ssd memory of the ps5 will die before the console is superseeded.
But yeah, the amount of internal memory is ridiculous. Even the ps4 already had 1tb and horizon forbidden West is listed with a size of at least 200gb 😂

Always add plus games to your library why wouldn’t you if your paying for subscription it’s free just as long as your a plus member you will always have them which you will need for just about every online game to play Online so why miss out adding these games every month to your library even if you don’t like or own them you’re paying for them might as well ✌🏼🎮✌🏼
What's the point, I just buy the physical copies of older games which are so cheap u can get the entire PS4 launch games for the fraction of the price of one brand new ps5 game, I picked up killzone shadow fall, infamous second son and first light, driver club, uncharted 4, street fighter V all for £32
I don't have ps plus because I refuse to pay for it. It should be free. We pay for the console and the game and then we get shafted by the ps plus. On the PS3 it was free and it should've stayed that way.

Sony can afford to spend a bunch on quality development because they don't just give everything out for free. Gamepass is going to be the death of Xbox because $70 games are free on there, but yet subscribers still have to pay.

Do you need to download them to add them to your library? Or does adding them to your library keep them available while also reserving internal memory? Literally getting my first ps5 tomorrow and I’ve never had a PlayStation before so any knowledge is appreciated.

nah you dont need to download them just as long as you add them to your library you should have them forever
Yeah no you’ll just need to add them to your library. They won’t occupy any actual memory until you hit the “download” option on whatever game you’re looking at.

Well you don’t really get them forever because if you cancel the live service they put a lock on the games and you can’t access them anymore they are still in your library just unplayable I have like 20 in my games

Yes because of the add to library option. Ps plus subscription based games just show up as downloadable until they're removed or you don't have service

No it doesn’t. The collection he is talking about is the collection that was given to ps5 users at launch to get people to buy the ps5 and was told to us that it would be limited time only. I’m surprised they didn’t take it away sooner

Non monthly games will leave PS Plus often as they add new ones. In this video this guys referring to the PS plus collection and not the game catalog.

No, no no! Not at all! This is ONLY the 'PS Plus Collection' - the 20 games PS5 users of any tier of PS Plus get access to. It is entirely separate to the catalog and monthly games.
