I really need to make a Final Fantasy playlist for all the appropriate real-life scenarios. While VIII is far from my favorite for music, it has the most situational soundtracks.
This track, imho, had to be particularly powerful. The percussion should sound like huge machines in action so the Balamb Garden University can take his first fly, etc. Maybe you had to be a little more aggressive on this one.
I used to. I've done some remixes. I have a couple on my ipod, but they are just a combination of the original and your remix put together, playing on same track with a few edits. I've created a couple of my own, but was mostly hip hop. Whenever I start my Hollywood career, I'll be trying to create music for the movies too. I've been in school bands, marching too. Been long time though lol.
I will say this track was my or one of my top favorite pieces in the whole series. 1. I think the mixdown or normalization didn't go too well, or youtube just sucks lol. Some instruments zoom in and out sometimes. 2. I think the background baritone (sounds like) should be replaced by tuba or be deeper with the baritone. 3. Personally too much clarinet. It was an action kind of scene, intensity. Clarinets aren't action-friendly a bit. Just me. You compiled it all great dude. First remix I heard
Try to return to your old classical style, and keep the percussion and strings balanced as this remastered piece. New remakes of yours may sound a little flat. Cover "blank spaces" with percussion combined with strings. I think that's my recommendation? I don't know... Keep up the nicely done work :D +BitSymphony
Cant stop listening to this...I could not find one song in your list wich is not suprising since I found only 1 remix of it on internet. Its "never look back" from final fantasy 8...Can you please make it??:))

IMO one of the most powerful if not the most politically heavy tracks in the game. Really adds tension and enhances such powerful motifs like: revolution, the rise of a tyrant, or an autocratic or totalitarian regime.
Sounds almost exactly the same as the original, just maybe a tiny bit more high quality, and with less impressive percussion. I don't really see the point, tbh.
There isn't a track from FFVIII I don't like. This is too amazing.
