In Family Train Layout Episode 2, you attached the vinyl grass sheet to pink foam. When you removed the grass in this episode, to allow you to "glue" the track down at the joints, you have wood under the grass sheet. How did you go from foam in Episode 2 to wood in Episode 3? How do you remove the grass sheeting from foam, in order to make the areas to "glue" the track down? Using the putty knife will gouge out the foam under the grass sheet.
My current HO-scale layout (an 11x8 L-shape) uses Bachmann E-Z Track as well, but it's the nickel-silver variety, as I find it a better material than steel track, and it also comes in a wider variety of lengths, radii and turnout configurations.
I have a 3 1/2 by 7 1/2 foot layout that splits into two pieces too be transported. I used the steel alloy track the black ez track I’ve had no issues. Little cleaning with a dry micro fibre cloth and I run my box car with a cleaning pad on it and the tracks been fine. No water on steel track that’s what rusts it.
Good day . I like your show it is useful, I like to know from your experience what type turnout of PECO System I can use it in my layout #13 from ATLAS Book # 11 p# 20. It has 5 turnout # 4 by ATLAS Cod 100, 3 L.H, and 2 R.H by using the DCC System. Since there 2 type of PECO Turnout one is Elecrofrog, and Insulfrog. Best regards to you for your time.
I ruined a lot of EZ-Track by gluing it down, the track does come with holes so you can tack it down and easily remove it later if you want to change up your layout.
There are several factors in diy railroad layouts. One place I found which successfully combines these is the Jareks hobby club (google it if you're interested) it's the best resource i've heard of. look at all the interesting information .
Thanks for the great vid.
Me and my two oldest daughters just got done building a 4x8 oval.
Now they want to tear it apart and do it again...
=D
I sure wish that they had track with roadbed included when I was a kid. I would have had a blast.
This is Bachmans ex track is what they call it because it’s really easy lol.
Model Railroader - in the back pocket of Bachmann for over 15 years!

The expander set only has 2 switches. One left, one right. He has an extra switch which IMO costs way to much by itself!
What if you want to expand beyond the basic oval AND the expansion track pack? can you take it further with things like more sideings and a turntable?
You can nail the ez track down too. If you look there are supplied holes for that
When working on a Basic Layout it Isn’t basic for long it Grows fast! Trust me.

What sort of nails would you use with the tempered hardboard?
Where did they get that table? I need something that would accommodate two 22" radius loops and one 18" radius loop.
What is the size of the layout the table size I mean?
I'm looking to put a train track around my bar I have in the basement I would like to mount it from the ceiling and going around the perrimator
Go to a local train club and ask them
What is a perrimator?
Is there another option besides gluing the track down? Does the EZTrack have holes for tacks or screws?
some EZTracks, I believe have holes.
No holes, but you could probably drill a hole.
Oh nevermind, mine has holes.

Okay, I'm immature 6:34, LMFAO!
Same lol
I don't think I've seen track in the UK with built in ballast. Takes an eternity to lay and is so messy.

How do you bulid the table
Why? Did you eat yours
What size is this

I wonder what's in those books...

I hate to be that guy, but Clarabel is facing the wrong way. She should be facing backwards.
