big fan of your guys builds and follower since the forseberg days. one question though. what is the reasoning of the doubled up square tubing on the front and rear structures? Ive noticed its become quite popular in many builds in the sport.
Jonathan Dick the double stacked tubing has the benefit of being lightweight as it allows you to use a thinner wall thickness but also very strong as it’s double stacked and has a twice as thick center beam through it when that is done. It can also be beneficial if a certain size rectangle tube is not available as you essentially make your own. Thanks for watching and following us! 👊🏼👍🏼
Brian, thank you so much for making these videos! I have a question about that nifty quarter glass setup you did. What did you use to attach the hinge to the poly, and what are you using (if anything) to seal the poly to the body?
First, thanks for watching the vids and I'm seriously glad you are enjoying them! The window is bolted to the hinge with relief holes in the window frame to make room for the nuts on the backside of the window when it is closed. The other side of the hinge is just welded to the window frame. For sealing we just have some rubber edging around the inside opening to keep the nitrous bottle from getting scratching. If we think it needs more than that we can always add some adhesive backed foam around the perimeter.
@@MAMotorsports That's super slick. I like that feature a lot. Again, thanks for doing these videos. I've been going through and watching them all today and have been learning a lot!
This build is insane! Pumped you guys are putting out these videos to show what amount and level of work goes into these builds.
