- I decided to record the Death album 'The Sound of Perseverance' from start to finish. I recorded both Rhythm and Lead guitars, Left and Right and everything in-between. This is a video of me playing one of my fave albums as a personal tribute to Chuck Schuldiner. I learned the majority of this album by ear, I picked up a few riffs from watching Death videos and other RUclips related madness. I am a self taught guitarist so I do apologise for any slight discrepancies. R.I.P Chuck your music will long out live our lives and more!!

seriously man you are absolutely brilliant
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. Just to clarify on what I used.
Jackson DXMG
Seymour Duncan Distortion Trembucker
Seymour Duncan Jazz
Ibanez Tubescreamer
SM57
Tascam 1641 Interface
Mesa Boogie Dual Rect (3 channel)
I used the 1 X 2 on the Marshal (Just the speaker)
Great cover, the chorus of this song gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it
This is an epic cover!
Maaaan.. that Chuck solo was PERFECT! Great job.
Simply amazing man, and awesome job on all your covers off The Sound of Perseverance album.
Great covers !! So accurate playing and killer sounds
PERFECT !
You are amazing, I don't think I've heard anything as close to the original as this. Other people's covers are a little off, but you are almost never off. Chuck would be very proud!
Dude you are freaking amazing!!! so this is my fifth playthrough of your death cover list in two days, its driving my girlfriend crazy lol thank you chuck would be very proud of you
end of the video was the best man, right on
Perfect
Thanks very much
@TheThrasherd Thanks sir. I use my Boogie Dual Rect, slap a SM57 infront of a 1 X 12 celestion , Tube Screamer and slight EQ in Cubase. Record ALL guitars and pan them accordingly. Hope that helps.
👍👍👍❤
Epic as fuck bud. Chuck would be proud!
RIP Chuck...My best favourite song is..
wow no dislikes. rare to see that on youtube. no wonder. great cover sir!
Oh, sevensting Schecter in the background? Awesome man, you're juest too good.
Its a great riff, but i have to say I love the entire song too.
i'd pay to see your covers live. You must do some performance or something haha
i cant play that intro solo because i only have 22 frets :(
Woah! Thats a nice signal chain! :D
hey man, I used that Jackson DXMG with SD distortion trembucker and a SD jazz in the neck. A tubescreamer tone just over half, gain off, leverl at about half too, A Dual rect on channel 3 with the gain below half way. cant remember all the settings on the pots. hope that helps and thanks dude!

Great stuff but I only hear the actual CD recording, turn down the volume next time so i can actually hear you play.
The riff at 3:47 is the entire reason I like this song. The rest of the song is pretty meh to me, but that one riff is just amazing. I wish it lasted longer >.
Sounds like playback lol
