- I decided to record the Death album 'The Sound of Perseverance' from start to finish. I recorded both Rhythm and Lead guitars, Left and Right and everything in-between. This is a video of me playing one of my fave albums as a personal tribute to Chuck Schuldiner. I learned the majority of this album by ear, I picked up a few riffs from watching Death videos and other RUclips related madness. I am a self taught guitarist so I do apologise for any slight discrepancies. R.I.P Chuck your music will long out live our lives and more!!
@TheMysticWombat I do apologise my friend, It has taken me an age to upload this stuff and I had to sacrafice the visual aspects too. But glad to get through another Death album, kinda like running a marathon ! ha ha. cheers man for checking the stuff out. Love Death! Pity we didnt get more albums from Chuck.
Dude...
I want that setup.
So bad.
It sounds 99.9% the same as Chuck.
Excellent cover man, Death forever \m/
Amazing cover, in fact best one I've seen yet! Thanks so much for posting it - I was finally able to get the solo down after watching this!!
Most welcome and thanks, When I was learning this album there was very few videos to help, so I am glad this helped you.
@XIntoxicationalX I have definitely contemplated the idea, that or ITP is next on my agenda, It is great fun learning Death songs, and i find it keeps my guitar chops in order.
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. Just to clarify on what I used.
Jackson DXMG
Seymour Duncan Distortion Trembucker
Seymour Duncan Jazz
Ibanez Tubescreamer
SM57
Tascam 1641 Interface
Mesa Boogie Dual Rect (3 channel)
I used the 1 X 2 on the Marshal (Just the speaker)
@ShieldsChosen still having an Epic time man! cheers to 2011 and far far beyond!
Hi and thanks for checking the video out, I used the Jackson DXMG with a seymour duncan distortion trembucker in the bridge and a seymour duncan jazz in the neck. I took out the EMG's that the guitar came with.
You really nailed this, tone and everything. Awesome job.

Does anyone have good tabs for this solo??
Could You share your tone, amp settings , pedals,...? IT sounds so similar, even better in My opinión...
ShieldsChosen would you recommend a marshall valve state 8080 to get a death tone on a budget or are they just crap
Pro Cover .. tell me about your guitar and who pickups are using :)) \m/
can you please give me the tabs for it
Well I finally posted mine and credited you in the description. Check it out and let me know what you think! Though my tone is far inferior to yours, haha.

Can't hear your guitar, music is too high can't tell if you are faking it or real
