RT made a stream watching paint dry. Kevin should totally do a stream of watching wheat grow. Maybe he could even turn it into a charity stream, like for Feed the Children or something similar.
Wheat doesn't need to be in a rendered chunk, just a simulated chunk. By default the game simulates 10 chunks out. Render distance is just how far you see, simulation distance is how far stuff happens.
Even though the despair of the slideshow is enjoyable, maybe an open quarry might be a better idea than a single line cut through the world? You know, like a big circular pit, in which you go round in circles from the center.
Watching wheat grow over and over sounds like a great stream activity! You could tell wheat-related stories and sing wheat-related songs. Sounds like a wheat-lly fun time!
