they should have done a statcast on Santana running to the dugout lol
Greg Gibson, the home plate umpire, motioning to the thunderstorm
The lightning is celebrating in their dugout.
+Jack Anderson lmao
This was excellent lol
Great!
Motions to Zeus and Hades.
It scared all 16 fans
LGI.
Just wonder if those fans got in on a discount. Now THAT'S a bargain at any price!!!
i love how he motions them off the field and the players are like yeah u dont have to tell me twice.
1:43 the guy in the white 😂
I love watching a 30sec advertisement before a 1min clip. thanks MLB!!
I can just imagine God sitting there and watching this like, "Sorry i was testing my rifle..,"
casartherandom 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
casartherandom
God and Rifle...... You just triggered a slew of Snowflakes.
Thor and Loki were watching the game
they start playing the A team theme when the ground crew hope into action. awesome.
get the multi-millionaires off the field NOW!! BUT have the plebians come out and roll out the tarp and let them get struck by the lightning LOL!!
+jdspreest they singed up to do that
+jdspreest It's their job to get that stuff done dude.
I was thinking the same thing I would get fired before I help roll out that tarp
Jason Pegram lol, you know what you are going to have to do before your take the job
I'm on SoCal, so for me, this job would be cake as it never rains here. I'd be catching a free professional baseball game everyday. When and if it were to rain, I'd make sure I'd call in sick that day or I'd pretend I locked myself in the restroom lol
Anyone else notice how fast Santina was running, while everyone else briskly jogged.
The spirit of Marge.
God's rifle went off and the umpire said.......... ok God your the boss, we're leaving. That grounds crew must have been shitting their pants as they had to come out to put the tarp on.
Greg Gibson, the home plate umpire, motioning to the thunderstorm.
that was Jim Wolf, not Greg Gibson.
put in the search box "greg gibson motioning to both dugouts"
or watch every mlb video from about 2 years ago.
Awesome job of grounding on that lightening rod! The lights didn't even flicker.
Santana is like "HELL NAW! I'M OUT!" XD
0:22 , 0:52 and 1:42 Greg Gibson got (a.k.a. has been) *FLASHED OUT* ⚡ (while motioning to the thunderstorm)!
he was motioning to the thunderstorm.
Commentator: "oh my goodness! Geezloweez! For crying out loud! Heavens to Betsy, that was close! Run, you wussies! Run!" Lol!
The only two times I've been to Great American Ballpark it has rained. First time was 2 years ago and lightning struck across the river, scared the pants off everyone.
Why do the umpires look like twins 😂
I was at the concert at US Bank Arena that night and knew nothing about that happening until well after. That was, of course, after sitting there and watching the Reds lose the first game of the doubleheader that day.
The "A Team" theme song!
but the sky looks so beautiful
lmao 0:30 Santana booking it for the dugout
Gibson was like "nope."
No mas
These 30 second ads on every mlb clip are ridiculous
When lighting strikes a stadium the most dangerous area is in the stands. Get the players, crew and others off the field but most importantly get the fans out of their seats and under the stadium.
Lol I was expecting a more funnier reaction from the umpire but okay... 😂
I was wearing headphones, and the first one scared me.😂😂😂😂
Greg Gibson, the home plate umpire, motioning to both the lightning and then the thunder.
Lol that type of strike happened at one of my teams games, we were all on the field then you hear the clap of thunder and lightning hitting the light pole on center. All just sprinted into the dugout
Uh Mr home plate umpire can I have 20 mins to get a new uniform on the thunder just made me shit myself?!
0:48 - 0:50 They guy in the grey shirt just bailed on the other guys rolling the tarp out.
Ur a fucking idiot, he went to go help pull it down the field
You clearly don't know how those guys work.
Even the birds are leaving lol
Greg Gibson calls the players off the field because of thunder and lightening, but he forces the ground-crew to cover up the field while it's thundering. Greg Gibson treats the ground-crew like shit and doesn't care if they die.
drServitis He's an ass!!
drServitis that's their job dumbass
Greg Gibson motioning to MJT24 to ease up on the homosexuality.
It's their job. Their work clothes aren't covered with bits of metal everywhere like the players. They also have rubber soles on their shoes. Perfectly safe.
drServitis really?
But did it rain though?
Santana with his speed, could be used as a pinch runner!!!!
Jumpscares
0:24
0:53
1:43(i think)
HIT. THE. LIGHTS.
In the Robert De Niro and Wesley snipes movie The Fan, there’s thunder, and pouring rain, yet the game is still going on. If they could play in those conditions then so can this real MLB team
de niro and reality parted ways a long time ago
never mind new balls.... new underpants!!!!!
Santana was like, "Fuck that shit"
lightning can strike anytime anywhere it wants it too anything can be a target.
I didn't know lightning could clap, lol
I am sure the grounds crew ran for cover as soon as that tarp was on
Greg Gibson the Home Plate umpire wouldn't have been startled
Very very frightening, me!
xof49 Galileo
Lol, everyone jumped.
That was weird
OH....MY.....GOODNESS!! LOL
Santana hauled ass out of there!
I would too
i never been to a game thats been delayed lucky me
Scared me and I'm just watching this clip
Sure push that metallic tube across the field and see if the lightning gods will accept.
Haha Santana tho lol
so it's not safe for the players to be on the field, but it's safe for the grounds crew?
YES ...now STFU
It's there job idiot
Ironic to call someone an idiot when you don't know the difference between the three forms of "their"
Not at all, they scrambled for cover as soon as that tarp was on
WOW!
aaand the umpire is motioning to both clouds.....
Globull Warming
At 0:24 lol...
Scared the birds out of the area.
why was the catcher wearing green and blue equipment?
Richard Glenn Brewers are blue and gold
Maldonado always wears weird colors.
that lightning wasnt that close.. there was a half second at least between the flash and the sound.
Andre G hit the lights
If you'd actually watch the damn video it hit the lights in the stadium..
Half a second means it was about 500 feet away, and you're an idiot. You don't crap around with lightning-not if you've got any sense.
It literally hit the light tower.
Everything weird has the reds involved 🤔🤔🤔
This is why has a roofed stadium helps
1:42
then a tornado warning suck the house up forever cuz of THUNDER
why can't they just make designated poles for lightning. Like Disney land have.... I mean it makes it safer for them to play. Just the loud bang sounds.
Because lightning has this irritating habit of striking wherever the hell it wants to. When I was in my early 20s, I saw lightning strike the middle of the road about a block away from me. It didn't hit the trees on either side of the road, it didn't hit the buildings, it didn't hit the electrical lines. It avoided all those things to hit right in the middle of the street.
Don't get me wrong-the lightning towers significantly reduce the chances of something bad happening, but they don't eliminate it. That's why Disney closes a lot of the outdoor attractions when there's lightning in the area.
Zeus: sup bitches!
