- CHANDLER, Arizona - More details have been released regarding a deadly shooting in Arizona that is possibly tied into the disappearance of two missing Rexburg kids.
EastIdahoNews.com obtained body camera video, a 911 call and dozens of pages of police reports, which detail an argument between Lori (Vallow) Daybell, her then-estranged husband Charles Vallow, and Lori’s brother Alex Cox. The argument ended with Charles Vallow being fatally shot.
Lori Daybell is now at the center of a multi-state investigation regarding the disappearance of 17-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow. Lori, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, fled Rexburg in November after police attempted to perform a welfare check on the children.
The of Joshua and Tylee were found in June and the Daybells are in jail facing felony charges. Cox died of what a medical examiner is saying natural causes.
Waited 43 minutes to call the police after he called Lori. Never performed CPR.
And why would the sister take his rental car?????? Why not hers? Who takes someone else's rental car. She isn't insured to drive it. It's all bs

If Tylee was there to bring the bat out to protect her mom, and Charles took it away from her to swing at Alex, then Alex went to get his gun- at what point did Lori and Tylee hop in Charles’s vehicle and go for a joy ride? Seems like weird timing 🧐 wouldn’t they stay there to make sure Charles didn’t take the gun too and shoot Alex?
Also alex says at first Charles came to pick up jj, but then later says lori took him to school. If he had school, why would Charles also be picking him up all the wAy from Houston. Doesn’t make sense. Also, hes dead, and she never asks if he’s ok or acts surprised. Entire situation is obvious.

I’m originally from Flagstaff, AZ. I Left to the military at age 20. I came back now to settle my fathers estate at age 59. I did come to visit my parents often. I will probably get crap for saying this, but you couldn’t pay me to live in Arizona!! Ever!! I’m in Flagstaff, and the healthcare system here is really screwed up. Restaurants and employees are screwed up. So I’m not at all surprised at these cops letting a man who just killed someone just sit there not handcuffed. The dead man Charles Vallow 6 months earlier told the police that his wife was threatening to kill him, emptied the bank account, and house, and took his truck. The cops didn’t take him seriously and now he and both his children are dead!! The teen in blue you see here is dead and also her brother. Oh, did I mention that the murderer Alex Cox you see here died 5 months later!
Thankfully I’ll be heading back to Arlington, VA, SOON!! I hate it here!! It’s beautiful, absolutely gorgeous!! But no way I’d live here!

This case is a very sad story and I believe if the cops had done their job right to begin with, Charles and his two kids might still be alive.

This guy is allowed to sit there, no cuffs, no rights being read just casually confessing to murder. This is weird.
He didn't check his id or run for warrants. Also, both Charles Vallow and Adam Cox had been telling the police they thought Lori was going to kill Charles and others.
He seems so calm and matter of fact. He doesn’t seem to have the emotion of a normal person. I would be so shaken and horrified if I had to kill someone, even if it was necessary to save my life. And Lori spent something like 14 years with Charles and is so calm. This would be the most stressful thing I could ever imagine and she’s just making little jokes.

I am just blown away with what Alex says and Charles being shot and killed (murdered) and there were NO charges against Alex! None! He just walked away scott free and this may have empowered him to think he’d get away with the next attempted murder or murder, which I feel he was also involved in. WHY would Lori drive off (to take JJ to school) with Charles' rental vehicle IF Charles had not been killed before Lori left as Alex claims. When Lori Vallow cleaned out Charles bank account it put Charles in the difficult position of having to make payroll for his employees . Lori knew that this would happen and didn't care who got hurt by her actions. The last days of his life must have been hell.
And that incident was back in January!
Charles knew what was coming and no one listened. Then Alex knew too much and he had to go. Poor Tylee was used and then knew too much.
All the while that crazy woman is still alive and smiling. So much unnecessary death surrounds her.
Moral of the story, if the person you're marrying has been divorced 3 or more times, you might want to find someone else...

This police officer interviewing Alex is completely incompetent...Alex's story has so many holes right here it's insane....and the officer doesn't seem to have a care in the world to notice it or press him for exactly what happened. He established absolutely no timeline of the day and what happened moment by moment because that is the easiest way to tell if the your being lied to....just pathetic police work all around.

no - they are excellent, they want him to talk and talk and talk and you bet that they are keeping track of every things he messes up. Also, people are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Forensics has to clear the scene as well. You do not come on a scene accusingly and put this guy on edge, they will just stop talking if they think they are caught. They are building a case here. Besides, hindsight is 20-20.
The Pearl no, he was cleared at the time, im pretty sure. From what I heard, they took what he said and closed it. The investigation has reopened because of the more recent events with Lori and Chad, but they closed this case at the time

THIS is an officer that needs to be investigated for letting a killer go free. The officer did a horrible job investigating this and didn't even pick up when that evil person couldn't keep his story straight. Did the officer even look at the demons head to see if there was signs that Charles had actually hit him in the head? I seriously doubt that part of the story....if Charles had, then there would have been signs.

I truly wonder how many others are involved in this. These kind of crazy cults have people from all sorts of professions involved. The detectives seem way to relaxed about the whole thing. Poor Charles was turned down by police & no matter how much he tried to get help, everybody turned they’re back. When Lori was at the Cop shop reporting her stolen purse, Tylee read out a txt Charles sent her trying to warn her about her crazy Mother. So very heartbreaking.

Is running drunk from a cop worthy of death? Is taking a cop’s taser worthy of death? The goal is to get the drunk driver off the road to ensure the safety of others. Not to kill a guy who was drunk and asleep in his car.

Date on this body cam of Charles death is July 11th 2019 at 15:50. That is 3:50 pm. Alex said the altercation happened 20 minutes before that. Lori and Alex said Charles came to pick JJ up for school. What school starts at 3:50 on July 11?

Lori didn’t even ask what was going on when she pulled up. They never asked Alex if he informed her. The cop clearly states that he “hasn’t even talked to the wife and kid yet”... then proceeds to never question why Lori didn’t ask what happened. She pulled up like everything is perfectly normal.

The rental car would have been blocking her car. It makes zero sense she took it. He was mad he wouldn't give her the keys. Unless he wasn't mad and they just said they were going to the store or something... Kylee came out with a bat eh? Did they put that lie on the child??

I would’ve been suspicious and taken extra notice of her taking Charles’ rental car. It’s like she purposely rendered him helpless at the house without his things. Even if he was shot dead before she left, her taking his things was just weird and normal people don’t do that!!

That's not how the law works. If you have a fear of severe bodily harm to yourself or others you can use deadly force to defend yourself in most states. As long as you didn't instigate it it's justified. If there's no evidence of the shooter instigating the situation there's nothing to prosecute with.
