    Any tips on doing vibrato on a note you are bending? I am pretty good at vibrato, and I rarely bend out of key/tune, but staying in key while adding vibrato to a bend is messing with me.

    • @jeffro.
      @jeffro. Год назад +1

      @manamose5430:
      Same here! That's a hard one to master!
      What I've been told: since we're bending with 3rd finger, lock the index finger against the neck (by the high E string), then use it as a fulcrum. Use the wrist to create vibrato, cuz you want to keep the bend locked in, so you don't change pitch. Hope that makes sense.
      I still haven't mastered it, but made progress since being told that.
      Just keep working at it! Once you get it, you'll have it.

      That is a tricky technique. I'll think about how I can doa video on that

    Hello Vancouver, your guitar are simple and great. Easy to follow for beginners and easy to practice for pros. I just bought the two books. What I'm still looking for are backing tracks for the exercises. Do you also have a CD or DVD on Amazon? Or where can I find the backing tracks? I live in the Netherlands and am also an online reseller of digital material. Can I resell your books (I want to order 10 of each every month) for a small profit and always refer to your Guitar Lessons? It will also benefit you?

      Thank you! Glad you are enjoying the videos and the books. Near the front of the books there is a page that has a URL link to where you can download all the audio examples. My books are only available for sale through Amazon but you are welcome to purchase them all through there. I'm unable to offer bulk discounts though sorry. I think they do have shipping to Netherlands.

    1980's had the best solos and best guitar players by far of any decade it's not even close, Randy Rhodes, Eddie Van Halen, George Lynch, Warren Demartini, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Reb Beach, Vito Bratta, and Jake E Lee!!!

    Do you have a video on bending notes in the major scale or major pentatonic scale? That would be a helpful one to have as an extension to this one. Thanks!

    • @GuitarLessonsVancouver
      @GuitarLessonsVancouver  Год назад +1

      I haven't done that yet. Though I can say the most common bends are in the same positions as they would be in minor, but they have different functions ie resolve differently

      @charlesfellows8130:
      Get some locking tuners, and lubricate the grooves in your nut with graphite. A #2 pencil will work. That'll help your strings stay in tune.
      Try it, you'll see!
