Masterclass in boat repair. I swear that lil shrimp has 9 lives. She gets faster after every wreck. Cheers!
Oh man what a crash!! Good to se it all fixed up again..Im just to put my new nose cone on and I’ll be back on the water, cant wait..
Yeah I was able to get water jacket in, as I centred my drive line. Haven’t got to get it running with the small 4S packs..now I know why they dont fit so well..Ive got brass tubes in the hull for the carbon rods!! I’ll work something out👍🏻
You could use 2x 2s packs in series for 4s operation, I considered doing this so u could use the brass boom tube retainers.
Ouch. I’m hurting for you, Big B!
bummer on that crash BigB!😔 anyhoee... you always do you're fixen so great & informative. you're clips are getting better Everytime is see them! those little editing with sounds and logo is cool! 84mph & no SMOKE! YUHHH ✌🏾
Thank you
I have a JAE kit, well I have all of them, and the smallest one is my favorite!
Hey, the stripes will add at least 2mph! 😂😂 Nice repair.
Nice job on the repair Big B!👍
You better keep an eye out to the South! Big storm coming your way!
Yea, supposed to be 25+ mph wind tomorrow
@@IRONCLADRC Hmmm. Not good for FE cats! 😉
Atleast it diden"t stabb your arm eh? Still have a bump. Looks very smooth on the water.
Back to the bench, now better than before 👍
You need a drag shoot Big B
What’s that 4s battery size ? All my 4s batteries are to big for the shrimp rigger, and I agree it’s just better to epoxy the boom tubes, that’s the way I went 👍 BGFL

Hey @nealstarling5422 I just bought some Tattu 1800 mAh 4S packs similar size and weight to the 3S 2200 Zee’s im running they fit perfect on top of brass boom tubes in the tub!! Have yet to try them out. Granted only 75C but reckon they’ll have some punch!👍🏻
Crazy glue and baking soda.
K&S cross tubes work really well ,and only 20 thou thickness.
Roger that thanks
I got a BJ24 because of you, now my Veles 29 will be here tomorrow because of you 😂. Question … what’s the best prop for speed on 4s ONLY for the Veles?
Hmm?mmm. I mostly did 6s speed runs and ran 40-43mm 1.6p props. If it were me I'd prop up on 4s maybe try an ABC 1816 17.45 on 4s (45mm), only on 4s if you run that prop on 6s things will most definitely get hot
I'm building my shrimp boat and will be taking it out for the first time this weekend. My question after setting mine up almost identical to yours is why not put a battery hatch in. I haven't done it but I'm thinking about doing it seeing as how tight it is. But I'm also concerned about the integrity of the boat if I did. Any thoughts?
Why not? It's a good idea, I say go for it.
I'm like brake!!! Oh we on water reverse it!!!
I see some Jet techniques rubbing off on your building process.... Yes, epoxy can be viewed as "Liquid Lead" and you don't want to build a Lead Sled if you want speed. I wouldn't have painted the "battle scars", I would have left them as-is for future conversation starters: "How did that happen?" Oh, I was doing eighty-something with it and ran out of room...." That hull might be a good candidate for the clamp-style 29-series motor mounts I've been using with success.
Yep, I used your epoxy method on this one! I'm not sure if I'm completely sold on your clamp style motor mounts? The idea is solid, I just don't care about the overall shape of the mount, they seem oddly shaped for boat use
8:31 , is there any video or tutorial I can watch to work out how to fit the jacket, thanks
I had to use a cooling coil because I didn't make my hatch big enough to accommodate a jacket. I don't think I filmed the installation, but I do have a full build in the playlist.
This video may help

Keep forgetting it's illegal to run rc boats in Toronto parks. Raced RC crackerbox boats over 20 yrs ago.
Oh man that's a bummer wouldn't know what to do if they banned rc boats at my local park.. I'd move, 😆
City workers would give me warnings. No RC boats in the parks. Something about the wildlife? All my years racing RC boats I never seen anyone hitting fish with Rc boat..@@IRONCLADRC
