Joy Machine 1993 -1996 is considered by many to be one of the most important synthpop bands to come out of the 90's American music scene. Gaining a massive following with the release of their retrospective album "The best That Never Was" in 2000, they have been elevated to a status far above anything they saw during their days of recording in their basement studio in Danbury, CT.
Singer Peter Riley is currently fronting the electronic pop act The Dossier as well as the Britpop inspired band Saintface (www.saintface.com)
Brothers Tim and Kris Heireth are currently recording their second full length album as Brand New Idol (www.brandnewidol.com)
Simon Matthews put down the synthesizers for a sucessful career as a Broadway sound designer/engineer and enjoys his life as the proud father of two

way back in 2001 before Exciter came out, this was labelled as a Depeche Mode single. this was before google was so good in finding stuff.

I remember mp3.com sold the last copies of "the best that never was". I was lucky to get one of them many many years ago.
THAT'S why it didn't look produced. When my ex bought it 20 years ago, it looked like a cdr. I thought she recorded it to one of our cds. 😆😆😆
this is also on my album hahahah i always thought it was DM and also the track "about me, about you" ! i learned something new today. WOW these guys sound so much like DM!! i would listen to this thinking it was old school DM!!! sorry guys...now I will give you credit when I listen..it's joy machine. hahaha

I found the correct artist for this song, it's not Joy Division nor Depeche Mode and then I lost it again!!

I had the CD 20 or so years ago. Not sure where it is anymore. Think my wife might have snagged it during the divorce. 😒😔😔 But reminds me that I have several cds that I still have to digitize.

The title of this song is "Turning Away" and not "Separate Ways"!!
"Turning Away" is actually Joy Machine's "Separate Ways" song

I can say with certainty that it is called Separate Ways, since my band wrote and recorded it back in 1994.

A real DM fan would know the difference between them and anyone else. But most importantly, I know this isn't DM because this is the better than anything DM has put out after Alan left. Additionally, this kid singing, and I can only guess he's very very young at the time, is a better singer than Dave has been since Exciter. Sorry but that's just the facts.
I love Alan Wilder . He was so underrated .

¿en que disco de depeche y que canciones en si? conozco toda la discografia de DM y no recuerdo ningun tema que no alla sido escrito por Martin o Dave salgo los covers conocidos, por eso te pregunto que temas para chekearlo en los books d elos cds.
