I don't even own the vast majority of boards you feature, but find your various tips, tricks, methodolgy, and workflow you present in a quite pleasing manner that I enjoy watching.

How timely! My Octopus Max EZ V1.0 should be here in the next day or two. Thanks! :)
I can see that I am going to have to get over how spoiled I've been with my Duet boards...
My last foray into Marlin was for my FLSun. I replaced the FLSun's board with a Duet after the board that came with it had a hardware fault. I was running a Duet on my Rostock V2 so it just made sense to put one on the FLSun. For the record, the FLSun was still a steaming pile of crap.
What made things worse was that FLSun didn't have working firmware for this printer when they shipped it (and in my case, they shipped my printer with a bad USB stick - which they never replaced). I had to modify an example from the Marlin source - and then do it a second time a few months later when the config was changed. Once the board went bad I took the coward's way out and installed the Duet.
I took a look at converting my Duet 2 over to Klipper, but it doesn't look like there is a lot of support for the process. And in the case of my HevORT, I am going to need at least 6 axes, hopefully more if I get around to installing a color changer.
Whatever printer this goes on is getting Klippered, so I also have the PI4B Adapter and the CB1 coming in as well. It will probably go on the Flying Bear Reborn 2. Or on the HevORT. Or probably both of them eventually.

How do I control a standalone stepper driver? Can I simply connect the STEP and DIR signals to the driver, or do I need to use EZ2130 for this purpose?
    Thank You

Normally avoid StandAlone as it disables functionality of stepper after it's flashed.

Do I have to have power to the motor-power if I am using 24v volts? Can I just have power going to the power going to the board?
