It’s weird when i see comments about not signing players in our youngsters positions on the team because we can’t have depth without buying multiple players in the same position. Competition for your spot will still be beneficial for them at this stage in their career.

Honestly form whatever I have seen of him this pre-season. I don't have much confidence, he will make the cut. He has been sloppy. But hey, lot of ppl seem bad in pre-season do well in actual season and vice versa. Let's hope he proves my opinion wrong over time.
Zubimendi is a great player but I'm not sure he is the type of player United needs, since he's similar to Mainoo. We need a DM and Ugarte is the superior player in that aspect.

@grantosas7317 it depends on what the manager sees in a number 6 for his team. Ugarte is the aggressive ball winner who's defensively better, ball possession based but don't expect a high iq pass from him. Similar profile to (Casemiro). Zubimendi is the better overall baller, breaking lines, brings more creativity, but defensively not as good as Ugarte. Similar profile to (Rodri).
Zubimendi is nowhere near good enough.

I think our biggest problems are not the centre back nor our attacking options. But our central midfield. We need ugarte or similar a lot more than a centre back. If we manage to decrease the pressure on our defence with some fighter quality in the midfield, our defence is quite strong.
Why are we still keeping Rashford??

Rather than wasting on Hato, it would be more sense to invest on Silvano Vos from the same academy. Take it in writing he will have Mainoo like rise to his international career this year. United should go for him either in Jan or next summer.
I feel united should also look at a left back option . Shaw is very injury prone, Malacia didnt play a single game last season. They should take this into consideration.

I’m quite worried about the fullback positions. I think it’s better to start looking sooner rather than later to avoid options dwindling. Would have loved frimping but that’s not realistic at this point. Cancelo can play RB or LB, but his attitude might be a problem, it comes down to the price and whether it’s worth the risk for potential attitude problems.

Out of all them, only Shaw n Malacia are true LB's n we don't know if Malacia is gonna make a full recovery. Shaw is injury prone. Dalot can cover, but pls don't count Amrabat.
