The sunnies case was in fake alcantara not even close to the headliner material, but looks like it was made for the car. And it’s the only thing that rattles on the car. The sunnies inside the hard plastic interior of the holder would rattle on bumps. But lined it with flocking and it’s stopped the rattling.
I’ve seen protectors for the back of the rear seats which look great for keeping the seat backs clean from dirty dogs or any cargo. Might be worth looking at
Great video - Do you have more information about where it's been stated that vehicles from july must have the seabelt / window breakers? I cant find anything about that online
Its apart of ANCAPs water submergence testing protocols introduced last year specifically for EVs. If after submergence, the doors can no longer operate, the manufacturer must provide a method whereby the occupant can escape the vehicle. That's where the window breaker comes in. The ANCAP document on it specifically mentions providing a window breaker as a suitable option too.
Great video, David. I was wondering if I should get the sunglasses holder and now I know my answer. It doesn't fit wide sunglasses. Thanks for making this video. What video editing software do you use by the way? Love your intro.
Hey mate, I love the BYD content. I just put in an order for a Shark last month. Any word on whether the OEM dashcam can be installed on them? My thinking is that the Shark has an SD card reader according to the Shark user manual, so there's no need for that if it doesn't have the capability to have that dashcam. Anyway, it would be good to know!
@@mrossco Don't know is yet. I've been in a shark and it didn't have the dash cam Port. But people have pointed out in some of the promo videos that it did have the dash cam port. So don't know what we're going to get in the end. And even if it does have the dash cam Port, there's no guarantee that it's going to have the blue data cable that connects to it. A lot of recent BYDs have been coming out without the blue data cable, if it doesn't have it, it's going to be a pain to fit.
Yes it is. If you are looking for any Sealion 6 accessories on AliExpress, look for ones that say 'BYD Song Plus DM-I'. That is the name of the Sealion 6 in China.
@@oliverbytes it should, but I've never tested it myself so couldn't tell you 100%. But assuming it uses the same infotainment system OS as other BYD vehicles it should integrate the same way.
@@oliverbytes yes it does. Max capacity 128GB. Get a fresh SD Card and install it in the slot in the storage area underneath the centre console. All dashcam footage is stored locally, it doesn't leave the car. Also it doesn't record sound either, just video.
Great video useful info, well presented. Loved the intro.

@@SkyPerspective thanks mate! Appreciate the feedback!
I'm using DaVinci Resolve to edit.
@@BeYonD-EV That's cool. I am also using Davinci and I am still learning. Your videos are very well made. Looking forward to your next one.
@Sensei_888 OMG Sensei, you are ubiquitous! 😄
@@SkyPerspective Thanks! I'm constantly learning new techniques on it and trying to add new things I've picked up to each video.
@@BeYonD-EV Yes I can see your channel has lots of potential. I am learning something new everyday too.
Would I have issues with BYD’s warranty if I install this dashcam?

Good video, but music too loud
Is the Dashcam compatible with BYD sea lion 6?

@@BeYonD-EV thanks I think it’ll work but I’m curious if the Dashcam requires a sd card to function?

@@BeYonD-EV thanks a lot. Without the Dashcam though what’s the purpose of the sd card?
How about cooperation with us?
