it's the first time I've heard this version... but wow will I start using it from now on as a come back to the "early bird gets the worm". I actually asked my boss to switch my hours from 8h to 4h to 10h to 6h because I had so much issues waking up in the morning. Thanks for the comeback!

Ok. This makes no fucking sense. The early bird gets the worm is a metaphor with birds representing humans. The second one doesn't align with the predetermined logic of the metaphor.

Harrison Allen Look, I can do as many tricks to wake up at 6AM, and it will work, but it will only last for a few days and my body will go back to sleeping late at night. Even if I try to sleep early, it will be itching to do something and I won't be able to sleep anyways until late night (or early morning, because that's around 4AM.)
because back in the day when we all farmed, it was important to seize the day. in the day youd be working, at night you are not.when technology came in, instead of completely ignoring the general circadian rhythm, it just fit in with our existing time frame of things, following tradition. that last 2 decades things have changed though with 24 hour stores and the Internet allowing people to view things at their own time.
How do some people go to bed at 1am but wake up at 7am, if I could I would sleep 12 hours a day

LITERALLY was always a night owl but due to my school being an hour commute away I'm forced to get up at 5:30 every morning it's such a struggle but my body is adjusting surprisingly haha!

If the early bird gets the worm, what does the early work get? I am a night owl, have been since childhood. Sometimes I wish I were a morning person, someone who jumps out of bed with a smile on their face and a song in their heart...however most of the time people like that irritate the crap out of me and I want to put a bag over their heads and shove them in a closet. 😆

Blanche Konieczka Yes, but as a night owl your mind is sharp when others are getting slow and sleepy. My mind is sharp at night while my husband is sleeping so I can check out strange noises in the night or calm him down if he has a bad dream. I also seem to do really well in my night classes.

I wish I was an early bird. School would be so much easier
I'm a night owl but am able to wake up early if needed. I hate it, but can get shit done in the morning then nap. The typical early bird would pass out by 10pm and, unlike a night owl, has no way to fit a nap in to "make up for lost time" in a useful way.
