I hope people realize how much of a blessing this channel is. You are helping out a lot of future nba players, and so much more respect for how unselfish you are to share all of this, sharing what you know for others to use at a young age that you weren’t able to know at that age. Truly a blessing, thank you🙏🏿
Dude you never stop amazing me man! I’m a natural two foot jumper and always tried to learn 1-2 because it’s what I see others do but now I see that I was correct when I felt more control and versatility in my finishes plus it keeps me out my head of counting steps and finding a rhythm it’s straight up and decide with my hands.
BIG FACTS! We did two-feet finishing work as a team everyday in college. My Group the Forwards did our Work & the Guards did theirs. It definitely helped us in games, our coaches were sticklers for Fundamentals which I'm grateful they taught us. Great Video, keep working.
U cant really “breakdown” defense. Sure u can watch films of the other team work on your lateral movements and stuff but in the end u just have to want to play D and do it.
I been watching this channel since highschool, when I was supposed to be paying attention to class. Now I'm working on my masters and doing the same damn thing. LOVE THIS DUDE
100% agree. So good! Maybe it's just me but I feel like the two-foot finish (with the jump stop) sort of died out for a while in college and NBA. Like from 2008-2019 ish. But I see it coming back. You have so many more options with a jump stop two-foot finish. With one foot, you're committed...whatever happens happens and is based on a guess.
0:46 I always want to do this kind of layup but it feels so weird. I have to push the inside leg and rotate outward like an appoarch jump in order to jump high but then I have to rotate my body toward the rim during fininsh to avoid block. If I don't rotate outward I will jump very low. Can someone explain how to do this kind of layup?
I implemented this move a year ago or so on accident because i thought that jumping off of 2 feet would obviously let me jump higher, that may not be the case, but the teams i played against, i was in 7th they had no clue how to even contest the shot whenever i changed direction, i dropped 54 once so ima use your vids to drop even more
Man you attention to detail is amazing and I agree with the fact that 2 foot layups are under uses but I would also like to request a video on footwork when dribbling a lot of players don’t know much about (me included) don’t wanna put stuff on it plate just a suggestion
What’s crazy is rnow I’m watching the Utah spurs game and as I look up I see a two feet finish by a smaller guard on the jazz creating contact and he won thus scoring. Crazy😮💯
I love it! sound advice, and very well crafted video. But you should touch on why this skill is underutilized, or at least ask the questions. You said it - it's not as fast. You meant it as a good thing, which it is at times. But you don't always have that extra bit in the highest levels. You see Marcus Smart having a hard time with finishing for his reliance on two-foot finishes. Donoven Mitchell added one-foot finishes right before he got in the league and it made a world of difference for his game. You need both, and you need to know when to use which.
Two foot landing in traffic is also best because if you sense any disturbance under one foot, you can quickly shift your body weight to land with most of it on your other foot, avoiding or lessening an ankle injury.
Hey bro, great vid again, you’re always very helpful. I just have a question/suggestion for a workout. 6 months ago you kinda hinted at a KD, Ingram type workout. I’m long and lanky so that’d be helpful for me lol. There are a lot of kids like me who are more like KD with quick 1-2 dribble pull-ups, crossover pulls, drives and all, so if you could make that video, it would be amazing. Again, you’re awesome!
This is true when u could jump high in the air, for people can’t jump high, changing direction in the air is not an option, and we also have Euro step for changing direction during 1-2step lay up.
If only derrick rose saw a video like this in 2008-11 . After his injuries he started playing more controlled and using the two foot finishes alot more . When he was young he would always jump or land on one foot he even said himself that he was so reckless and not smart when he was young . Young players should take note of this especially zion . Your right too alot of players get injured cause of one foot finishes .
could u do a video on jrue holiday defensive abilities like he is soooo underated and deserves the recognition so please we would like to see a video on his defensive abilities
My problem with this is that I get the ball stripped out of my hands more often when I go off of to and try to initiate contact. Any suggestions on how to avoid that?
but its harder because your short and takes more effort and sometimes shorter players such as myself need to put spin which cause it to ricochet off my hoop but i can still do it i just need to pinpoint and put the ball in the hoop
As a 5'8 short king, i use two foot finishing all the time, more time on the air, more contact, more stability, i can finish on big guys, i recommend that for short mfs like me
🔥 video, but I gotta say the mid range jumper is the most underrated skill in today's game. That and or post moves. Everyone is overly focused on 3's and layups that they neglect those 2 very important fundamental skills of basketball.

Young AI used to do this every time with A hopstep.
2 foot finishing kinda lost popularity cos everybody wanna eurostep now

I have been finishing off both feet since high school and never thought much of it until this video 😂

What about the best finisher and contact creator james harden? I think he literally only finish with one foot

Yeah but one foot gives you long strives lay ups and is faster than double. But I agree 2 foot is more in control and it gives you more bounce
I hate that every kid my age just wants to shoot 3s. Driving game bouta disappear.
