    from a fellow metol detectorist: If you find a hoard of Archeological importance like you did here, immediately contact Archeologists and DO NOT dig it out yourself. You risk scratching them and we arent even talking about the find context being destroyed (sorry for poor English). Here in germany if you find something like this you have to contact Archeologists to do an emergency excevation, because of course, there is a Reason why it was put there and how. Anyhow, Great find!!!!

      Hi lefty, unfortunately we don't all have a emergency excavation here in the UK ,well certainly not in Wales lol ,we make a positive judgement wether to remove the items carefully and methodically and of course record the process so the archeology dept can see themselves the whole procedure. obviously we do this for security reasons because once a hoard is discovered it often becomes a magnet to hawkers ect, anyway thanks lefty for watching and commenting,ATB Matty 👍

      Thanks Philip buddy ,no lol I got the event organiser to come a collect them as it was way to many to carry and didn't want to risk damaging any of the 21 artifacts, I carried on digging for the rest of the day then lol 😆 ATB Matty 👍

      @@onlygazza thanks gazza that's incredibly nice of you to say and i greatly appreciate that ,,,,the number came up 1044 on the screen and gave a good solid high tone , the pure power of the ctx is quite remarkable as I measured the deepest axe head at 2ft 2 , if I'm down your way il have to see you and you can copy my unique custom tweeked setting that I've been using and stuck with for over 10 years,ATB Matty 👍

      Why do you think all those axe heads were buried cos that’s a pretty incredible find there ?

      @@onlygazza yeah you should definitely go to one of the organised events ,,there's celic heritage fb group,huw is a really nice bloke makes you feel very welcome ,,I was told burial of axes and tools ,were either possibly a offering to the gods or to be dug back up when times were hard,,but still puzzles archaeologists?

    I’m from America and that’s a standing liberty quarter dates from 1916-1930 pre 1924 dates wore off easy could be worth a lot if clear date

    When you go a digging do you get permission from the land owner ? Just starting out on this journey

    Did you declare the bronze hoard to the Portable Antiquities Scheme?

      Yes all reported and handed in to the museum as a donation, this hoard was one of the largest BA hoards ever found in South wales 😄 ATB Matty 👍

      Yes I had to report within 14 days ,but it was all declared and handed in within 7 days anyway,thanks for watching and commenting 👍

      @@mattysmetaldetectingsouthwales Hi I am new to the hobby, what happens next now that you have declared? and I read you only have to declare if over 300yrs old and its made up of 10% or more precious metals or are these? Sorry for all the questions I am researching and making sure I am familiar with all the laws. Amazing finds by the way, that must have been some buzz!

      @@danp2275 after you have reported it ,it then goes to the coroner for classification to see if it's treasure, in my case I offered to wavier any reward and donated it to my local museum .

    I liked your finds, but your cavalier way of digging, the way you treat your finds with no care to not scratch or preserve their historical place, had made me decide not to give you a follow. Please… be respectful of history.

    To many Found in one day ,I found hard to believe, sorry, not eve the professional archeologist manege all in one day ,I believe ar planted .

      I have 3 people witnessed the exciting discovery of these artifacts being unearthed one by one, but you right it must of been planted over 3000 years ago,thank you for your Comment
