As a newly minted FM15 Gen II Zhukov owner, I can say that I NEED this for mine. Being able to just pull it back and lock it HK style will be a real game changer in the FM15 manual of arms. Shut up and take my money.
@@InvidiousIgnoramus the uppers fit on any AR lower, the only proprietary part is the bolt carrier. The barrel nut is a bit too tight to fit most barrels but you can modify some to work. The proprietary bolt carrier can take any bolt. Some people have made fm15s in 7.62.

Lol this guy messed up, 9 months later and this is still not released. I contacted FM trying to buy one and they said they had more important projects come up. I will be patiently waiting
I just don't understand the point of what is essentially a modified 5.56 AR that takes AK mags. If it was 7.62 or 5.45, that would make sense. But a 5.56 AR that takes a mag that is harder to get than a STANAG just doesn't compute for me.
@mig1nc Yea, the BRN 180 is nice, & close to what I believe OP has in his head, because its in mine too, the what the BRN falls short on is it doesn't take AK mags. The Mike-102 hits all the marks, just need to be piston driven, chambered in 7.62... or shit maybe even a 5.45 option...
An AR platform not taking AK mags is not a shortfall, at all. This rifle a prime example of that along with the Palmetto State KS-47, which I have. Making an AR to function with AK mags means you lose features like LRBHO and bolt lock/bolt release. Everyone that has shot my KS47 had second thoughts on it when they realized those AR functions were removed. Determined that if I’m shooting 7.62x39, use an AK or an AR that uses STANAG mags.
why is the extractor pin so fragile that its required to be replaced every time you disassemble the bolt face for cleaning? and why do instructions say it has to be replaced, along with a firing pin spring every couple hundred rounds?
And another bucket list gun......wallet's going to hate me nitpick, I would suggest a folding charging handle instead of sticking out all the time, or have an option for a folding charging handle.
So... does it fit onto an AR lower like the FM-15? Cause Caleb is right, that IS a whole vibe, and I want in... but without needing ANOTHER lower. Never mind. They answered my question at the end. maybe i'm slow, so you are sayingthat the ak upper will fit any standard ar-15 lower. so how do you rock the ak mags in to the ar lower or do you have to find ar 7.62 x 39 mags to work with that upper?
