Just breaking in mine and loving every second of it. Cruise control on a sportbike is such a game changer for relaxing in between the twisties. I don't get how nobody mentions this.

I was thinking about buying one aswell, because i heard many good things about the bike it self. But im a bit unsetteled, because at the other hand i watched a lot of videos and read a lot of comments about aprillia bikes in general not being reliable. What would you recommend? Is your bike working well?

@@piemasta93 Aprilia sent me an email at the beginning of May saying all orders had been delayed approximately 1 month. They told me to expect my order to arrive early June. Xing fingers! 🥰

The personal code is a menu item. That warning that comes up is just telling you to add it. Right now your bike isn't setup with one. Once you add it it'll go away. Page 128 in your manual will explain.

The start up menu is asking you to set up a 5 digit code (apparently to do with ignition key recover) Go into menu, enter a 5 digit code of your choice and then the start up prompt will disappear
My suspension guy (who was interviewed for the book Total Control) told me that when the back tire is ridden to the edge but the front isn't, you brake too hard going into corners and make up for it by powering out lol

I seriously considered a tuono 660 when my local dealer was selling left over models for $9000 new. Unfortunately I don’t see a lot of the 660 twins in public and anyone I talk to said they’re just too much money vs a 600 supersport, so everyone still buys those instead.
I bought one just because of how the bike road. I didn’t want a 600 and I wanted a naked bike and have loved every mile one it
But they have a massively different use than that of a supersport. It's like saying people buy oranges because apples are slightly more expensive. Sometimes you want or need an apple and an orange just won't do. Even the RS isn't a track bike mainly, although it's really nice on tracks.
No, most ppl buy the 600 Supersports because of its cool factor and never take into account their actual riding style. I tried to convince my friend to start on a650, fellow riders talked him up to a liter bike because of his weight and height. So I tried to steer him to a ninja 1000 or GSXF1k. He got a ZX, he loves it right up to the point his wrists and lower back pain receptors crank up to 11. It doesn’t match his riding style.
Do you like the Aprilia? Is it still available at that price? If so, get it and ride your ride.
@@Jussomerando677 definitely. I also never got the "you're big, you need a liter bike". Doesn't make any sense and it's the worst advise ever to the point of being partly responsible for potential accidents.

I have been wanting this bike for about a year now but i am really worried about the reliability, watched some videos about people owning them for like a year or more and have been having issues so i am worried about that going from an mt-07... any thoughts?

I purchased a RS660 last year, it's been my absolute favorite sport bike - no it's not as fast as my old litre bikes, but its got everything I need for an actual road bike. It will still go way faster than I need to go, it feels as light and nimble as my girlfriends Ninja 400, if you can afford it and love to ride, you deserve to give this bike a try before you throw money somewhere else.

Hey I just sent you guys a message over on your website about shooting some content for you. I'm a filmmaker based in Denver, and I'm applying to shoot with MotoGP.
Fix your plate on the tail-tidy, you are triggering the OCD🤣. Have the same tail-tidy, but the plate is mounted correctly🧐. Also you might want to put some protection on the protruding edges of the fuel tank. If you drop it in a track day those part tend to get shaved, it is a nylon tank so fixing them is not the easiest (you can ask how I know, hurray for plastic welding). Also the Tuono tank does not fit (if you need to replace it) it is about 1/2 inch too long (so don't believe the internets or ebay). Also nice ride.

Maybe if you live in a big city finding a dealer would be no problem otherwise forget it. And even if you have a dealer near you, I would be worried about him going out of business. Not like finding a Honda dealer not much farther away. Nope I'll pass.

@lilwizk26 bro the bike is trash, you know how many times people have to take these to the dealer for warranty? You might as well not have a bike the thing lives more in the garage being repaired than riding. Besides that the ZX6R is a weapon on the track is the best bike for a track.
I have ridden both and they’re both fun. The Aprilia is much more comfortable for the streets. The ZX6R engine is hard to beat in terms of smoothness though. The ZX6R is probably the better track weapon, but the Aprilia is killing it in the twins cup. They both serve their purpose.
